| Sometimes the BBC produce something special in their Rugby League presentations and today was that moment. A fitting tribute to a true Legend of the game of Rugby League , the city of Hull and of course Hull FC . In the 100th anniversary of WW1 I was not aware previously of the outstanding bravery , courage and leadership Jack showed to overrun a machine gun defence and ultimately pay with his life so that we can live today in freedom.
In particular by awarding the silver medal the legacy carries on rewarding youngsters who have shown exceptional courage through adversity.
Well done the BBC and to a true legend of the sport of RL who paid the ultimate price you did your family and fellow countryman proud.
