| Would expect 2 new signings who didn't feature last week to be given a good run out, any doubt at all about Salty and he should be rested. Other than that no real room for any surprises as I'd be surprised if either Calcott or Davies fit to play. Looking forward to seeing McCarron; in spite of the optimism generated by last week's performance bit concerned at size of attendance.

| Positives. We got the result as expected and apart from a couple of light knocks no noticeable injuries to speak about and no damage to the pitch for FC Town to moan about.
Negatives. Far too many basic errors, Crowd of just over 700 and it was cold.

| Lousy conditions, some basic mistakes especially number of dropped high balls in the first half. Difficult to be too critical when it was wet, freezing cold and blustery. Positives for me were fitness, linked to excellent line speed in defence right to the end - and most pleasingly a completely committed return to action for Calcott.

| Getting through the game with no injuries is one of the few positives. Fitness showed towards the end but it pretty much always does against at amateur side. Too many errors but conditions weren't great. Will have to be tighter once the league starts.
Attendance was the lowest I can remember in a long while, but various factors there. It wasn't the best day for going out and standing on a terrace. I'd have been far happier sat in the pub. Cash gate always lowers the numbers too.

| Positives for me other than winning was Calcotts return plus the players from suspension, Douglass carried strong and like as been said fitness looked up to speed. Negatives i thought we was sloppy overall in our play players passing instead of taking the line on basically looking for someone else to do the work, dealing with high kicks by the back 3 was poor. Thatto Heath did scramble well especially on there line but some of our finishing was slack to say the least we could of had a lot more points. Going forward i would like to see Woody back at fullback i think he drifts out of games too easily when he plays halfback or centre playing out the back just seems to keep him more engaged in the game and when he is he is one of the best in this division.

I totally agree about JWH. Why would any coach do that?

| Watching the game, is it my eyesight ( dodgy at best), my television, or the new shirts, but a few fax lads look to have put on a bit of timber, especially JWH, not that it seems to be causing an issue at present.

You could argue that from a attacking point of view you could see why he might think it suits Joufretts strengths playing fullback. That said he would only have to watch a few of our games from recent years to see that Woodburn hall is one of our best players and his all-round game should make him our first choice fullback.
