Booth might have told Powell he is off to KR at end of season so we have acted now instead of keeping him as he will never be in first team due to loan. Guess it depend how good the KR lad is. In Powell and Mills we trust.

Neither do I. Shown some real class for me Booth, and would be ahead of Hall every day for me. Baffled to say the least.

Noah might have wanted some first team action this season as opposed to a season on loan. In addition we have quite a bit of cover in the centres and full back. The lad at HKR is a winger. I am disappointed in some respects as Noah looks an excellent prospect.

It's clear that HKR were going to chuck a big deal at Booth for 2026 and he would likely sign with them anyway. Best to let them pay for him to play at Hunslet for a year! Cut our losses.

I don't see why this is being criticised yet. It's a swap deal so it matters how good the other kid is and he's meant to be good. Booth isn't going to be playing first team for a while and Rovers were looking to tie him up in 2026 anyway.

Agree with PopTart, Booth isn't going to shift any of the incumbents and we have a relatively young back line.

I'm not saying its not the right thing to do... I just thought Booth had the x factor and I was looking forward to seeing him fulfil his potential at Belle Vue.. That said Tchamambe is an outstanding prospect.. A huge human (nearly 6' 5") and very fast... An academy international and still only 19

Personally don’t mind this, Booth is behind Jowitt and Rourke at full back and Pratt, Scott and Hall at centre. Bringing in a talented young British winger is a smart move. Johnstone has had previous injury issues, Walmsley is unproven at SL and Russel has also had injury issues. It provides competition for places and cover should we have injuries.

For me if Ellis didn't think something was right for the club, he wouldn't do it, we are assuming this has been instigated by KR, yet we don't know that. Two very highly rated young players, wouldn't be a disaster if it happened IMO, how many of us have seen this lad play? Again, I'm trusting the judgement of the coaches we have at the club because they haven't yet given me a reason not to.

I liked him and I think he has potential, but he was not getting anywhere near first team this year without some major injuries. If there was a possibility of him going to Rovers next year anyway it seems like good business.

I can see a logic behind this and so far been very impressed with our signing strategy over last 18 months, I suspect that he wasn’t going to get any first team rugby this season and probably very little following year. So perhaps he wanted away as his contract expires at end of season he could have left any way. We have 2 top young centres in Scott and Pratt , a very experienced full back in jowit , with Rourke hall and Croft as back up. On the wings we are a bit thin especially as Russel is coming to end of his career. Roarke also. We still have 6 options. Even wing we have TJ, Walmsley, Russell and Delaney. Though with this signing I’m not sure where that leaves Delaney who has been in first team a few years but hasn’t appeared to break through. As for Booth, him signing for Trinity has improved him as a player no doubt. He has potential to be a good quality full back, centre or utility man. Not sure about the x-factor as I think it’s going too far at the moment but he has pace and certainly potential. I completely get that if he’s leaving in 2026 and we have an option of bringing in another young lad with potential it’s not necessarily a bad move.

I’d rather sent Hall back tbh.
