| What a load of rubbish is this system for championship clubs. We have Chris Dean and has never played in any important games in the league.Ainscough goes on loan,Farrell wont come back as played well in the wigan games recently. Can we get rid of these contracts and get someone permanent?

| I don't see how it's any different from the 'loan system' apart from the fact that it seems players can be recalled to their respective teams quicker and also mostly train with their SL teams as well. Given that I fail to see how it's of any benefit to Chamionship clubs at all.

At Leigh, we are getting enormous benefit from having McCarthy, Mitchell, Blythe and Emmitt. However, it only needs the inevitable injury crisis at Warrington............

| It is a bum deal in hindsight. In loan deals, the bare minimum players had at clubs was three weeks or a month I think. No call-back clauses in that, etc. I think the dual reg system should have some sort of similar clause.
For example, whereby Dean plays for Widnes in round 1 of the Champ, he is ineligible for Saints until after four games have been completed after that first game. He can then go back to Saints, or they can let him continue at Widnes and risk not having him available for selection for another month. We have to rememberthat Dean, Farrell etc belong to SL clubs, and their aspirations of playing for these teams will always rank higher than playing in the Champ. But if Championship teams are forced to field players that are some way short of the capabilities required to compete, then the system ought to be scrapped.

| By the way, fwiw, I was doing the analysis of Sheffield v Wigan in work last night. Farrell came on just before half-time and remained on the field for the rest of the match I think. He played well, despite Wigan punching holes at ease.

dont think that would work as sl clubs would think twice about giving players to lower leagues if they cant play them if 1st team players get injuries. I think dual reg is good IF the team isnt over dependant on the DR players

I think leigh have benefited better than widnes to be honest.Ainscough went in no time, dean played 2 games and not been back again.Farrell has played until easter period. But i can not see him coming back as he is very good.So in hindsight it has been crap this dual reg for widnes.I think next year i would only take one dual at the most and look for a loan player.Do you think any of the dual will go to wire, and stay like our players have mate?

| Maybe our mistake was aiming too high with the quality of dual reg players we were after? Or maybe we've been unlucky that the teams we've got them from have had a similar amount of injured players as us, causing them to be re-called. e.g. Leigh have been fortunate as Wire have been fairly injury free and left their 3 with them mostly.

Lest we forget, we've not had a chance to play Dean and Ainscough has been farmed off to Cas so Wigan don't even need him. They don't have an injury list. They wouldn't be riding high top of the league with a list similar to ours.

| Ben Davies is not in the squad of 19 so maybe we can extend his loan for another 3 to 6 months?Wigan have harrison hansen, coley, roberts, goulding,Leualai, and is it deacon out of the squad. So if hansen and coley come back, maybe we could be in for some luck.We may aswell scrap the chris dean contract as he defo wont come back.Rumours that Tuson could be going back to Wigan, due to the culture at cas.

| Hasn't Davies gone to Leigh after Wigan realised he has more to gain at Leigh now we have a coach and he is a Leigh lad going to Leigh college some 30 yards away from the club.

Can't he just move his caravan to Warrington, then he will be equidistant between us and the college.

| One win against Halifax and the would be championship 1 team leigh are acting like a particularly nasty Alan Rickman character.
There is no way the RFL are going to promote you given the slice of fortune already bestowed on your club. Stop acting like the big "I am" and behave the lot of you. I've seen more threatening earthworms than Leigh.

True, but only because the earthworms in widnes have mutated due to all the chemicals and are now 10ft long, man eating SUPERWORMS

Whereas due to the inhospitability of the place the only things even resembling wildlife in Leigh are vast gatherings (cackles?) of unibrowed, hyena-like youths called Shanequa, Dappy and Tyson and their rottweiller-staffordshire bull terrier-Japanese Tosa-poodle cross breeds.

Thats one slice of luck, but I was on about the time a club got into such deep financial doo doo that they were forced to drop down a division and so a bunch of utter failures destined for championship one literally went cap in hand to the people they trust the least and meakly and shamefully begged to be reinstated into the second tier. One win mid way into the season and all of a sudden this humiliated bunch of numbskulls think they're credible.
It's a funny old world.

| I think Leigh have turned the corner. They are looking like a lean mean fighting machine. I think they are now my second favourite team behind Halifax. Widnes are going to have to pull their socks up to get that second place back as they have dropped right off the boil. They're going to limp into Super League at this rate and that can't be good preparation. Pull yer finger out Cullen & O'Connor!!

Indeed. Can't wait till they get the leg-up to Super League then i can "come out" and legitimately support them in the big league as there will be no conflict wiv the Fax. I hope Toa is taken to SL coz he's me favourite. He's a dynamo - just keeps going and going. I am particlaurly looking forward to all the current yoof players taking their bow in SL. Judging by the many many yoof posts on this forum, Widnes will be the club with the least amount of Aussies in the squad. Won't they?

So no point in us having a club then...we'll just roll over and let everyone beat us and then fold. Maybe the rest of the championship clubs should do the same and just leave yourselves for the SL place. With your arrogance and holier than thou attitude you'll fit right in. Oh and its 6 wins and a draw in the league and an unbeaten run of 11 games. Good luck to Fev by the way on Friday
