| According to radford. Who?
Shaul - not sure if hes been carrying an injury but hes not been great this season imo. His deficiencies in linking the half's to the outside backs is well documented but at least we used to have his support play and broken field running but not this year. Needs to get back on track
Connor- great until he was moved from centre and hit and miss since. Doesn't look happy and being called out publicly by the coach probably doesn't help
Kelly - who? I think he used to play for us. Chubby Australian bloke who likes the odd burger
Sneyd - all he has his his kicking game and that's been average for months now. Needs to get back on track
Houghton - are his million plus tackles catching up with him? Distribution not great and no real zip. Does being captain suit him?
Taylor - not sure what's going on but body language not great and his worst season for us since he joined. Has he lost some weight? Long way off a gun place imo
Any more key players?

| Bit harsh on Houghton IMO I think he's had a good season.
The one that worries me a bit is Bowden. I know he's had an injury but he has the 10 shirt and hasn't got back to his best form yet. Taylor and Satae will go well but if Bowden's our 3rd pick and we're then into Matongo/Bienek/Ellis I'm not sure this is enough.

Sao will play prop next year with Jones at 13 playing down the middle with Griffin, mau and lane in the back row and savelio in the treatment room all year. I'm hoping the lad from widnes can put some pressure on houghton

| whats happened to Masi? thought in his first game back he played well, not seen since and he offers more than fash Bowden atm. Savelio looks a really good player if we can get him fit, Kelly still a good player but has been in and out this year and be nice if he was back for cas,

Could still do with another forward for me because as you say Savelio's not looking a good investment so far. The Kelly thing does concern me though. Don't want to risk his health going round again - equally not sure what we do next year if he's sat in the stands on a big salary.

| Two players in Sneyd and Connor with bags of talent (and no doubt bags of money) but not willing to show this on the field.
Question is, why not?

Not sure it is solely down to effort, half backs are confidence players if things are good they try more risky plays. Also if the pack arent firing they have less space to work in. Sneyd has tried to take the line on more, which has been a regular criticism of him, but sadly that hasnt been a sucess.
Connor likes to 'sledge' the opposition but you look a bit of a tit doing that when you team are playing poorly. His head has gone down and it is showing,
Actually pleased to see the Hull born contringent getting their share of the criticism, too many times people have blinkers on and ignore their poor performances just because they are local born.

| I think Houghtons been apart of our problem recently
His decision making in regards to who he's passing the ball to has been way off, often not finding halfbacks on kick plays, resulting in us making it up as we go along
My opinion on the way he shares the workload amongst the props is all over these forums.
I'm not convinced I think Houghtons and shaul both hinder our attack at times. As well as Sneyd and Connor just not gelling

How many times do you see Shaul come to acting half only for Houghton to intervene leaving Shaul standing around the play the ball like a lost sheep.
Still think we have missed a trick not not using Shaul as a 9 and provide some competition for Houghton. Its too cosy for him.
That would allow us to find the type of fullback we all know we need.
Some will say we need Houghtons defence but it isnt doing us much good at the moment and Shaul would offer a lot more running threat.

Snyed's won us a couple of games that otherwise would have meant we'd already be out of the play-offs and down in eighth. But he has clearly been out of form recently.
Shaul is capable of a moment of magic but has been largely disappointing this season. Houghton just needs spelling, hopefully Jordan Johnstone can help out in that respect next season.

| I reckon Taylor is carrying an injury, so plays for as long as he can in his first stint (probably over plays himself) and then comes back later in the game when he's been jabbed up again.

Do you have any evidence to support your theory? I would be unhappy if any player received painkillers both before a match and then again before he was able to return to the field.

Carlos missed a game last year when he lost all feeling in his arm before the match.
Whether it's right or wrong I don't know, but as long as the player gets the right medical advice then I'm (fairly) happy with it.

I appreciate what you say. What evidence do you have that he gets the needle before and during matches? The first appears to be a fairly common occurrence at this time of the season. However I have not heard of anyone getting a second jab to allow them to re enter the field. Would not have thought the medics would be too keen on that.

I doubt there would be time at half time for a pain killer to kick in, and the risk of numbness etc.

As I said before, none.
I just said "I reckon", based on his game pattern - over playing himself (in my opinion), coming off much sooner than earlier in the season, and staying on the sidelines for longer.
Good old Google suggests Gavin Henson "played in their Six Nations victory over England at Twickenham but needed a painkilling injection at half-time as he struggled with an Achilles injury."
