the 2 year deal bit is interesting, we offered three in the end, so it must just have been the massive wage they offered good luck to him he's been a great servant I'll miss him and so will the Club!

Why [imust [/iit have been that? You really think that Saints would have offered him [isubstantially [/imore money so that a two year deal would be financially more rewarding than a three year one?

I reckon there are other factors that we are unaware of...

Well I don't wish him luck. I hope his form takes a massive nose dive from around October 2012 onwards and that he's a shadow of the player we've enjoyed seeing for the last six years.

it was rumoured that they had offered a much more substantial deal over 2 years then we had over 3 years money talks in sport they is no loyalty unless your a local lad like yeamo or horney

On the bright side I reckon we have had the best out of him, at his age the injuries tend to start hitting and overall performance generally take a downward turn.

Gonna miss watching him batter his way through the left wing. Fantastic player for us, hope no one gets on his back at the KC, signing for a new club is all a part of sport. Wish him all the luck in the future!

no doubt eddie and stevo will be in themselves daft over his departure from fc..maybe he'll get the plaudits he deserves now hes at a "big" club...as he never got them whilst he was here

Disappointing to lose a high quality player at a time when high quality players are becoming difficult to find. A setback in my view regardless of who else has signed and a poor piece of business now I see he has only signed a 2 year deal. We should have been able to offer a 2 year term acceptable to him.

question is, with willie gone, and turner, are we actually going backwards or forwards in terms of players??? ellis in, great siging no doubt, but i was under the impression we was to enhance our squad by adding top additions to the quality already there, id say losing these two is a step backwards for a start, nevermind trying to replace mckinnon aswell

That depends on what was acceptable to him, doesn't it? Ellis will be on big money, and there's only so much we could justify spending on Manu before a disproportionate amount of our salary cap ends up being tied up in the back row. If Saints have offered him more than that figure, it'd be pointless us trying to match it as it would leave us short when it came to strengthening other (arguably more important) areas.

IT IS WHEN THE REPACEMENT EARMARKED FOR HIS ROLE IS INFERRIOR AT THE MINUTE..UNLESS WE SIGN BETTER?????

I struggle to see how Arundel can be worse than Turner has been the past few weeks.

In one season Arundel showed enough form to make the the England Knights squad, Turners had half a dozen good games in 3 years.

What's wrong with wanting to see one of my favourite players do well at a club that I like to see do better than Wigan, Leeds, Wire and Rovers???

arundel was a star at cas wen he played in that season and scored some good tries and looked a solid centre
turner has had 3 good games in an fc shirt how can he not be a good replacement hes younger and a better prospect
