Allthough he doesnt speak for all of you Hull fans, he loves writing in slagging Rovers off every week. to me the guy is a legend, his letters are one of the best reasons to buy the paper, obviously you cant take him too serious. im not trying to take the mick, i honestly enjoy his amusing letters, and would advise you all to tune in next week for his next funny letter........

You ought to live with him like I do, he is black and white and I am HKR so you can imagine what it is like in our house. All I can say is it is good job he cant use a computer because he would also be puttiing postings on here all the time trying to wind people up or should I say on the Rovers site. He admires Syd Sheppard and is hoping to be as bigger legend as him sometime (its only early days yet) by the way it is cracking him up because everyone is getting on his case (how sad can you get) then again he is a Hull supporter.

yer Rovers had the chance to be part of the stadium, but how would it have worked? When the next S/L season gets under way City will be midway through there season playing at home every other week, so how could both Hull and Rovers get the home games in aswell? IMHO it couldnt work, maybe the Rovers board saw this too and hence the reason we lay in our own bed.

At the risk of derailing the thread, perhaps the people that specified, designed and built stadium may have thought about that rather than just building it and thinking "bugger, there's an extra team going to play here no one told us about".

The Rovers board at the time did not want to move from East Hull and their supporter base was small and they worried about the size of the Stadium well thats what they said when they turned it down anyway! It would have worked but the RL would have had to make sure that one team was home one week the other the next! We are often at home when City are but we get round it!

Mike Joyce would be better channelling his time and energy into trying to get more support to Craven Park and getting the money for stadium improvements that way. The Council are not going to fund any improvements from public money, not now 8,000 Council workers have been offered voluntary redundancy, my husband being one of them.
