The only reason I know it's in this area is my brother was talking to him at a function.....Honest.

Well the next time your brother bumps ito him at a shindig or (cough) you are caught in your gimp suit hiding in a bush at the bottom of his garden...remind him that Wakefield is in erm? Wakefield not leeds.
If that fails give him a clip around the ear... or shove an unripe avocado into him..very roughly!!

Being Wakefield born If someone asks me where I currently live (East Ardsley) I always reply Wakefield. I have a WF post code after all.

The missis on the otherhand always suggests we live in Leeds - We pay our Council Tax to them afterall.

Travelling round the country I'm often asked where I live, I always reply that I live in Wakefield. Southerners usually ask "where's that near?", I always reply that Leeds is near Wakefield.

Well Wakefield court house closed everyone has to travel to Leeds, Wakefield cathedral is no longer in the Wakefield diocese its in LeedsThey named the new shopping centre Trinity and they tried to make out that Newmarket was in Leeds, you even have to travel to the Leeds LGI for a major operation even though Wakefield has a brand new multi million pound hospital. Does anyone see a pattern hear. Rather strange seeing as the leader of Leeds council is called Wakefield.

And we have been signing half of there team!!

Quite right - and we're part of the 'Leeds City Region'!

It's happening, which makes it all the more vital that we retain and strengthen our identity - partly through the success of the Citys only pro sports team and partly through ensuring its success through the development of a new stadium for it!

PS - much of NM is in an LS postcode, although I believe that the stadium is in WF.

New stadium should be WF isn't it going to be situated just behind the Moorhouse estate which is defiantly WF

Correct - but the LS postcode covers much of the industrial element of the site.

It maybe something we need to have clarified with the post office - to avoid embarrassment!

Also - although I live a mile from the Town Hall - I am in the 'Morley & Outwood' constituency of Ed Balls-Up - much to my chagrin!
