can somebody be appointed by the moderators to summarise the points that are discussed at this week’s meeting and post them on here for those of us not lucky enough to be able to be there?

before the event i’ve read through 44 pages of mainly guff, blind optimism, paranoia and pessimism, and i’ll never get that time back. it would be great for there to be a factual point of reference on here after the meeting, without the need to read the ramblings of the informed, the ill-informed and the ill.

here’s hoping.

yes i'd hope so. i'd hope that it's the first post about the meeting, rather than tucked away in page 12 of a thread rampant with the lsd induced hallucinogenic interpretations of what was actually announced at the meeting.

Completely agree with FFF. I've been watching this forum for quite a while now (i was a poster on the previous main wakey forum) and agree totally that after being as excited as a kid on xmas eve when the meeting was first announced, I now find myself resigned to the fact that even if AG announces that we are moving into a new ground tomorrow with a new billionaire backer, Ossett Brewery adjoined to the stadium and free Balti pies for all I will be disappointed.

It sums up the life of a Wakey fan that we have turned a "potential" historic announcement into a possible lynch mob scenario if AG doesn't deliver some amazing news!

The minor cosmetic improvements to me have made a big difference to the match experience. A decent pint, something edible and lick of paint goes a long way to satisfying a paying fan before watching the action (or lack of it!). Yes its great watching us play well and score wonderful tries but no matter what goes on on the pitch its a good excuse to get together with mates for a few hours to enjoy a bit of banter and to discuss how optimistic/pessimistic you are about our chances of winning/surviving/buying the club if you win the euromillions/or how you were talking to Blaymire's uncles cousin who told you that all the players didn't enjoy playing rugby under Kear and that they were all playing garbage on purpose. This is what its all about.

I for one will be there on Wednesday night and can't wait. Whatever the announcement i'm Wakey till I die no matter what level we are playing at because lets face it, once a club is in your blood how can you REALLY support another team?

Seriously, the way these things have worked in the past, there'll probably be several new threads with people posting who are sitting in the meeting, followed by the inevitable follow-ups later. I doubt you'll have to wade through 40 odd pages to find the info you're looking for.

If I'm online tomorrow night and posts are added to the main thread, I'll split it to make the info more accessible. Can't promise owt, though.

As has been mentioned earlier, the club website should really take the lead here and publish a perpared (spellchecked) statement the moment the meeting has finished.

Well said that man,although I can't agree with the dissapointed bit!

To be fair i think we should be happy that AG has taken the time to arrange something/somewhere for him to deliver it to all the fans at the same time instead of us finding out on here or from the bloke next door. The professionalism he has fetched to the club is a breath of fresh air.

A few new posters, fat/face/fan, pudsey cat, digital pigeon, all in agreement, are you all friends or same person using many names...??

It is we get a few loonies on now and again...

If you came here expecting to find only hard facts and solid information, backed up with proven sources and reliable links, then you're either blindly optimistic, totally naive to what an internet forum actually is, or a bit thick.

As much as I'd love to have total control over what is posted, who it's posted by and who reads it I fear that very quickly, due to my power mad nature, there'd be nothing to read and no one to read it!

Balti pies, I'd be outraged. Call me a traditionalist, but I like to keep my love of pie and my love of curry separate. Preferably separated by least an hour or two and a few ales.

Just never had a balti pie that I thought improved on either a curry or pie. Now if curry shops sold a spiced meat and potato pie as a starter before my curry, that'd do. You coming for one tomorrow before meeting?

Through the brilliant times and the absolutely dire times , both on and off the field.
