Although I understand that the need not to use the floodlights during the early part of the season will save unnecessary expenditure and that the savings will benefit the Club, would it not be possible for the Cougars to reconsider the start-time and possibly reschedule the games for even a 2.30 KO during the early part of the season and then revert to 3.00 during May, advancing the KO in line with sunset times to ensure that adequate light is always available without the need to use the lights?

Apart from the saving in electricity/floodlight costs what other reasons are there for the decision behind the 2.00 pm start?

Several other fans that I've spoken with also feel that 2.00 is too early and on Sunday several long-standing supporters were unable to make the game because of it.

What does everyone else feel?

I prefer 2pm also as it means the editing of highlights is started and finished an hour earlier. I also think away fans will appreciate the chance to set off home a little earlier.

It should be better for people for Public transport especially after the match.

Just change other plans if rugby is more important , you have all done it for years.

I prefer evening matches but would turn up at 7am if they decided that was the optimum time.

It's called planning and prioritising

I also prefer 2:00 kickoffs, it still lets you watch the rugby and then do other things while you still have time, and when the good weather, and better daylight comes in then you can make the most of your day.

I don't find it a problem and if it helps the club then even better.

I can understand how people get into a routine but it will not take long to form a new one.

At Cougars we just ride the roller coaster.

I used to love going to the evening games..... Remember going down to the floodlit trophy games many many moons ago.....also if I remember correctly Keighley cougars - k.r.l.f.c. back then of course - used to have their own free newspaper ..... or am i dreaming that ?
