On Swinton page someone has said that the Cougars are nothing out of the ordinary,that made me seeth now I want all the players and JD to use this as the inspiration to get back to winning ways,come on fellas us as fans know it's in you,get them heads up and show them Lancastrians what we are made of.Cougars till I die.

No of course not Jim,all I'm saying is that is the kind of statement that should fire the lads up and show that we are capable of a lot more,I for one believe it's in us,and if it made me react then it should do the players,I would want to try harder to put it right.

Let's be honest mate, we aren't all that.

We've lost 5 games in the league, including the last 4 in a row during a period when we have had a pretty much fully fit squad to choose from. 2 of those defeats were to the teams placed 2nd and 3rd bottom in the table.

After the really heroic efforts of last season it's difficult to take. Even more so given the heroic performances against Toulouse and Wire in the cup this season.

It seems that in the last few weeks the board and backroom staff have been making huge progress in attracting sponsorship to the club and trying to promote the club's brand.

Now it's the players' turn, and maybe as fans we can help. Let's try and create a synergy between the players and the fans. The more we cheer them on, the better they play and vice versa.

That's what I'm getting at mate,now is the time to really pull together as one,we have to get back to winning ways asap starting next week and if we turn Swinton over the week after confidence will be restored and I for one believe we have it in our locker,keep the faith guys.

Should the players, have to read something like that to fire them up?

Shouldn't that be the job of the coach during the week?

I guess it should really Jim,I'm just trying to remain positive in times of adversity.

Being positive is great, but sometimes in life reality gets in the way.
Maybe now is that time.

Time will tell I guess but as long as we the fans are putting the effort and remain positive that can only be a positive mate.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't.

But I'd rather see folk try and fail than not bother to try at all.

It's in times of adversity that this club needs us most, we've answered the call before, now it's time to answer the call again.

There's no doubt that the crowd can and do make a difference, but I don't think that's what's missing at the mo.

If you looked at the other squads at the start of the season it was pretty obvious that this year the division would be tight. Whatever some may say, we simply do not have the best squad in the division; we are good and on our day can beat anyone, but we make far too many errors both forced and unforced to beat some of these teams.

Don't forget, it took Jones and Presley time to settle in together - they would be ripping this division apart. Lets also not forget, we lost Daley Williams, one of the best natural centres we have had here for years.

JD has brought a different playing style which when it goes right looks awesome, but at times looks beyond what the players are capable of and results in errors.

Both the players and JD still have time to get it right, but not much. One thing's for certain, the play offs are going to be tight and exciting.

An error free, confident, determined cougars are a match for anyone in this division. Problem is, the "other" Cougars aren't.

I agree that you have to stick with the team regardless of how they are doing, look at some of the successful teams of the past like Leeds, Bradford, Wigan. etc. Every team has a blip, It doesn't help that the press made us instant favorites to go back up because every team will be gunning for the Cougars.
As for JD, give the guy a chance, how many games did Barry Eaton win in his first season, and he had Help in Peter Roe, Jason is doing it for the first time with no Mentor, like Barry had, and whe he got up promoted the sun shone out of his a**e, now give JD a chance, get on the terraces like Andrew, and myself, and the others, shout yourself ho and get behind the team, If you want to whinge all the time, there is a sh*thole about 11 miles up the road that is made for that
