I prefer today's set up, but we need to have Finch, Sam or Pat taking the long kicks. IMO, there was a good case for needing to play Deacs earlier in the season, while Finch was still settling in, but I think we look a lot more dangerous now with both Tommy and Mickey on at the same time.

If we want a quality kicker, bring back Neil Cowie!

Agreed. Salford tried to get on Joels outside shoulder several times today. They initially did but Joel managed to recover and scrag them round the collar. Jjosh just trusted him to make the tackle though. Well done lad. It's what's happening inside that's causing the trouble

I think sometimes Joel lets them go on his outside so he can scrag them into touch.

But when they're both on the pitch, they share the dummy half work anyway, and both are much better than Deacon in defence.

The main reason we needed Deacon early on was because Finch was struggling, but now he's showing his class, I think Tommy, Finch & Mickey give us more in both attack and defence.
