It appears they have signed a DR agreement with Wakefield. Rather than announce it to their fans, they have tried to sneak it through the back door and hope that their on field improvement would mean that the fans wouldn't notice! Glad we have and open BOM.

Don't do that. That is crazy. We have had fans on here who have refused to watch Leigh because of our recent relationship with Wigan. All you will do is deprive yourself of watching the club you love and probably some fantastic games. Leigh used the DR system with Warrington and it sort of worked but we had Wire players in and out of our team. The fact that we played ok was down to the coaching staff and was used because of the lack of cash. People were ok with it being Warrington. When it was Wigan that was different. Why? Because there is a deep rooted out of date hatred of anything Wigan. If your club is using the DR system in order to funnel funds into finishing the stadium then please give them the benefit of the doubt. From the footage when we played last weekend The Big Boys is going to be a fantastic place to watch a game. Fev are a great club who have survived because of the fans. Don't desert them when they need you.

Depends on how many players they actually use we haven't used many and it's worked both ways for the ones we have had.

TV boy I agree but when it's with wakefield who hardly set the standard of a model sl club I just think it's ridiculous,.id put good money on us and leigh matching them over a season of super league.

We never had a DR relationship with Wire, the formal relationship came in last season, ie you can only take DR from your parent club. In previous years Emmitt was from Saints as was Armstrong.
I am shocked Fev have done this after all the shouting about their youth etc, as they are a very proud club with very proud fans, similar to ourselves in many ways

Theres no quality players to buy, the money isnt available just yet, were spent up to the cap and struggling in the pack - what are the BOD forced to do?

Top 2 is too important to miss out on this year so what do we do? Do we take a risk by DR with a club to get the odd player which may bring an extra bit of quality to the side every now and again or do we fail miserably because we dont want our pride to take a hit because of whats been said in the past?

This is only a temporary measure and if thats the way we have to go so be it - im not happy like everyone else but needs must now

I dont care what dirty trick the club pull from now to the end of the season and if that means upsetting the fans along the way so long as that top 2 is secured and guaranteed im sure we will all be happy

I'm sure Fev are still the favourites to finish in the top 2 anyway, after Leigh. It's between you and Sheffield IMO and on todays result you should be fine. Don't see how DR will help, especially not with Wakefield. Seems like a vote of no confidence in some of your current team which i'm not sure is justified considering you're second in the league.

What relationship did we have with Wire then Neil? I thought it was a DR one and that is why they could call their players back at any time.

Its nice to have all bases covered and if we dont make the top 2 at least we exhausted every avenue trying

We could take players from any club and did if you look at my post, in 2013 they moved the goalposts to Twinning and you become a child to the parent who was the only one allowed to feed you.

To be fair I don't think I ever saw a wire lad put in anything other than 100%. Blythe, Mitchell and McCarthy were all fans favourites from what I can remember in 2010.

If I was a Fev fan I'd be very disappointed, especially after that God awful statement was released . If what has been said on here is true then the only relevant part of the statement was "We ask our fans to allow club officials to do their work and embrace the changes and not to question their judgements but to live the dream."

Why not just come out and say "We want to be in the top two at any cost and if this is what we have to do then this is what we'll do."
