What relationship did we have with Wire then Neil? I thought it was a DR one and that is why they could call their players back at any time.

We could take players from any club and did if you look at my post, in 2013 they moved the goalposts to Twinning and you become a child to the parent who was the only one allowed to feed you.

To be fair I don't think I ever saw a wire lad put in anything other than 100%. Blythe, Mitchell and McCarthy were all fans favourites from what I can remember in 2010.

If I was a Fev fan I'd be very disappointed, especially after that God awful statement was released . If what has been said on here is true then the only relevant part of the statement was "We ask our fans to allow club officials to do their work and embrace the changes and not to question their judgements but to live the dream."

Why not just come out and say "We want to be in the top two at any cost and if this is what we have to do then this is what we'll do."

Just had a very interesting conversation with someone regarding the Featherstone media blackout AND mystery investor.......

The mystery investor is said to be Cath Hetherington from Wakefield who is putting in the money to get the stands finished. This is also the reason for the DR deal. The reason behind it all is that Wakefields lease at Belle Vue ends at the end of the season and it's looking likely that they will be evicted by the RBS who own the ground. This obviously leaves them with nowhere to play, hence the link up with Featherstone.

The cloak and dagger secrecy is said to be because of a possible 'conflict of interests' going forward into next year if both sides are in the middle 8 and CH is involved in both.

The lad who has furnished me with this info is a decent fella and been correct on many issues regarding Fev etc.

Re the DC business I think Fev are being smart given how much money is available for the top two in the Championship this season.

Just as an aside at Fev last week' seemed to me both their 2 new stands where almost complete so I wouldn't have thought it would cost too much to finish them. I would not have thought they would need a Wakey Board member to put the money up to do that.

Weren't Wakefield already partners with Keighley? Thought you could only partner with 1 heartland club. Does seem a very strange decision considering how much everyone hates the partnership system and how good Fev are anyway, not going to get many better players but are going to annoy a lot of fans.

Plus how they castigated us when we had ours with Wigan

You are right that the stands are just about complete - but we had all those pieces from scarborough FC that cost nothing

Its all the other small things that is not really noticed that cost the money like the brickwork, the electrics and the ground around and behind the stands that needs sorting out and will take the most time

Apparently so - whilst out walking the whippet following a hard days slog down the pit rumours amongst the neighbours suggested our town crier would deliver this ground-breaking news in his daily annoncements in the town centre

I doubt this is true. If it is I will be very disappointed. Why would we build these new stands to compete with the best of them, only to let one of our near neighbours jump aboard, not good!
