| According to League Express is considering his future. He along with a few others off contract Patton, Crosby, Westwood and M.Brown. It is said he is frustrated with lack of game time and will be looking at other options. I would say he is likely to get an extended run now with Currie out for the season. It would be a shame to lose him.

| Any player worth his salt who is not getting game time need to have a look at why? With young Harvey he is not the best player in any position which results in not starting. The next question is; can he fulfil a role what the Coach needs to make the bench? Again, the answer recently has been no hence he is not getting into the match day 17.
He now has an opportunity to make his mark at the club through Ben Curries injury. He started off very well on Friday night, with the hole left by Ben unnoticeable. Get your head down son, stop feeling sorry for yourself, put your big boy pants on, make it impossible for the coach to drop you and you will get an improved contract going forward. Its the same for the rest, less Ben Westwood.

| Livett will be a good player, but he’s not played well enough until the last two games to justify displacing Currie or Hughes. And BMM will always take that bench spot. Now he’s getting a run he needs to prove what he can do in the position he’s likely to be spending his career in. He was all over Hudds in defence and is also a clever ball player so as long as he keeps producing the goods I’m sure Price will have him in the team. Price has certainly not shied away from praising him.

Not really, anyone coming off contract at the end of the current season is free to talk to other clubs from tomorrow.

| Difficult one this, I don't want him to leave as I think he has a bright future in the game and I'd like it to be with us. But I only want him to be I our match day squad on merit. Its over to him really to force his way into the team, he has the attributes that's for sure. I'd love him to be our 13 in the future. As someone mentioned earlier he reminds me a lot of Simon Grix.

| Unless he's demanding silly money it would be a big mistake to let him leave. IMO he's a class act with a quality rugby brain and could quite easily be (although competition not stiff) the best Warrington born SL player.

| They can huff and puff and talk it up all they like, none of them are in any danger of being signed by a club bigger than Warrington.
However I would retain Livett and Crosby on sensible 2 year deals.

That may be true, but, as a junior player with ambition on presumably a relatively low wage, then that might not be the only consideration.

| My humble opinion
Patton - either a back up hooker (he went ok) or has to improve as a SH. Will need to be replaced if he goes. K Brown has limited time left and we need hooker/half back back up. On balance - keep if he improves
Crosby - not sure...I like him. Very solid and great off the bench. but not enough game time atm. 1 year possibly
Westwood - one year renewal if he keeps going
M.Brown - solid but not special...cover for all backs...maybe 1 year..but look around
Livett ..has 12 months to make the shirt his. 2 year contract
In general you need 3 new players a year to keep a team fresh and developing...so which three would go and who would you bring in?
PS anyone noticed the lack of knee strapping in the team?

| Yeah Crosby has only played 14 games for the Wire due to various reasons. We do need to see a solid, injury free, stint from him. looked good earlier in the season. Would we get him on a 12 month deal?
Westwood - all the best players leave at the top but no harm in a cheap 12 month deal.
Patton - He's not good enough to make a starting place his own. Time for him to join the usual path of Championship/ Toronto.
M Brown - Served us well when we were short, he's 30 now and quota. Time to say goodbye.
Livett - Has not earnt a new contract on performance but his potential means that 2 years is reasonable.

I don't understand your logic.
Get shut of Mitch Brown who is our only creditable winger cover. What happens when Lineham and/or Charnley get injured? 30 too old but you'll give Westwood and extension at 36?
Get shut of Patton? Having a talent of his ability as a backup to Brown or Roberts is a great plus of depth for us.

The logic is that these will be replaced with better.
Mitch Brown uses a quota spot. Wouldn't you rather see a higher quality NRL import? One with pace?
Back up to Brown? We need to be replacing Brown for 2019/20 Patton has not shown he can be a top 4 SL half so why are we persisting? Wigan or saints would get shut.
Westwood was sentiment I guess.

| Are there really so many good players out there who we could entice to the Wire instead of our shelf fillers ? Do we in fact have the cap space for the queue of great players waiting to join us ? Perhaps the best policy is to see what Price can do with what we have ,he isn't doing a bad job so far.

This.
Wires71 you don't get shut of players that are creditable unless you can come up with someone better.
Who can we get better than Patton who would come here as knowing he'd likely be 3rdor 4th choice?
Mitch Brown quota spot isn't putting us at a disadvantage either...look how many imports we have... all sorts of loop holes exist.

| Quota isn't a huge issue at the minute, we are at 5 with a max of 7.
Brown's versatility is a good thing to have, especially as we are seeming to run with a small squad size, I'd be happy to keep him on, but would rather sign an up and coming youngster to take the spot if I'm honest.
Crosby is well worth another two years, been impressed with him whenever he has played, good yardage after contact. Unlucky with injury, hopefully thats something that improves.
Westwood on current form is worth another year I think?
Patton..... I just don't know. Patton is ahead of Morgan Smith at present, but Smith seemed to have the better reputation when we brought him in - how has Smith performed when given the opportunity to play at half back in the reserves / U19's? Smith's form when given the opportunity could well influence what happens with Patton. I think Patton is worth another 12 months, maybe with a further 12 months with the clubs option to see how the Patton / Smith scenario pans out.
I'd like to see Patton have a few games now that we have a bit more structure to our attacking play - he could be much improved in that environment.
Livett could well earn his new contract in the next few weeks, he's coming up against some decent opposition in Wigan, Leeds & Hull, I'd keep him anyway, but his performances in those games could well influence the size of his deal.

| Rumour that Savelio wants to come home and we want him back. Could be the difference whether Crosby or Westwood stay (if true) know he has a season ending injury in the NRL but does have the skills and talent to be massive in the game. I'd be happy to keep Brown and Crosby, Patton I'm 50/50 on and Livett if he does well in an extended run in second row/loose forward will do him no harm

| One thing we can usually guarantee with Westwood is availability. He's a tough old player & unless he is banned is usually good to play.

| At the start of the season I thought this should be Westwoods last season and he would be a bit part player. Now, I'd just ask him to see if he thinks he can do one more year and leave the ball in his court unless we are desperate for cap space.
I do wonder whether he has decided this is his last season so he in going all out to make it a good one. He's been fantastic, I've already admitted I was wrong about him staying and am glad he is still here.
