| A video ref at every game is becoming necessary if only to be consulted where foul play is suspected then, the on report system could be abolished & instant justice meted out.The need for less officials at a match would pay for the video ref. I also think the RFL need to include forward passes in video ref decisions.

| Has been a must for years for me. Games are won and lost, seasons changed, and titles won with video refs.

But would it? Surely a few basic cameras and monitors these days won't break the bank? The setup doesn't need to be TV quality, just enough to give a few different angles. Sometimes, you can see quite clearly from the SLShow highlights that a try shouldn't have been given - why not have someone at the game quickly reviewing key decisions?

I agree this needs looking at. I fully understand their are times when different angles give different impressions so it's impossible to tell. But many times, a forward pass gets missed but on viewing the replay it's blatantly obvious it's gone forward - why can't the video ref be used for those?

I'm guessing the RFL would then have to pay more referees to be the video ref for all games. Furthermore, the cost of training them and employing them may be slightly costly in the short term, but surely it's becoming necessity as the video ref can make the difference in some games.

| When I talk to people who having a passing interest in super league but dont know a great deal, the video ref and lack thereof always comes up. How do you defend a situation where different fixtures are played to different rules based on the whim of Sky Sports? I haven't managed it yet.
