I think we will lose at Leeds, they're the only team who has the backline to match ours for pace and power.

It's a nonsense to start talking about going unbeaten throughout the season. Many games are very close and one decision either way can decide it ( check out our so-called 'bottling' performance agains Leeds in the play-offs ). What matters is to (a) finish as high in the table as possible after 27 rounds and (b) kick on to win SL. We've managed the former, not the latter. Losing four or five games won't cost us a serious shot at SL, and a loss can sometimes be a timely reminder that there is always room for improvement, and no room at all for complacency.

I think we will get beaten by Leeds, don't think we are playing anywhere near our best. I expect a comfortablyish win for Leeds.

With the injuries we've picked up and Bridge's pending sine die ban, I think we'll struggle and a few Wigan fans will need wiping down.

It's been a strange start to the season... I don't think we have really played well, yet we're unbeaten and top of the league.

We have made loads of mistakes with ball in hand. Our game has been simmering just below the surface, threatening to click into gear, but never really doing it.

Agreed and if we don't click on Friday then I also expect Leeds to win. If we do click though, we could easily win by 20 or 30.

Around the ruck is where Leeds can be beaten...But it looks like there will be no Monas, so Higham will have to put in another performance like he did against the Bulls except 2 or 3 notches higher..

Seems odd that so many Wire fans are predicting that we - the TRUE champions - will lose to a team that was far below our quality last year, and was only lucky in beating us (unjustly) in the playoffs?

I would have thought that this game would show how wrong it was last year that Leeds could be labelled champions rather than us, and we will go to Headingley and show them who the real champs are.

My thoughts also. The Leeds team we will face on Friday evening is near enough the same team we defeated 40 - 24 (HJ) and 42 - 6 (Headingley) last season, and had plenty of chances to beat in the playoff game but were below-par.

It seems that a slightly lacklustre performance against Bradford, combined with a few injuries has created an aura of pessimism. Yes Leeds are the World Champions, but against Wigan and Castleford, they looked very beatable.

I agree with some of what you say here, it is much harder to win the LLS but ask any Wire player whose season they would rather have had and every single one would say Leeds!

Also how was the defeat in the play offs unjust?

If anything Leeds winning from 5th show the play offs work. If the team that finishes top of the league always wins the play offs then whats the point in the play offs!

If both teams play to there best then Leeds will win but if both teams play to there usual standard Wire will win!!

It depends on how much the loss to Leeds last year hurt. They will need that extra motivation to beat Leeds on Friday, though without Monas I see Maguire running riot.
Leeds lost nearly half their games last season including a spanking home and away to us and it did them no harm, so they've set the bar for me. If we lose every game till May it will make no difference to the end of season knockout jamboree.
