Michael Monaghan is going to have a small clear out on his knee to clear up a niggling problem this week. It sounds like he will be out for a week or two from what Smith says on Guardian website.

Higam and Grix to return next week too.

Sounds like a good idea to get it sorted before the Easter run-in.

Thought he made some absolutely top draw tackles yesterday. There was one in particular in the first half.... His shoulder hit the thigh so hard the HKR Players legs almost folded backwards.

ansolute machine in defence, ill be worrried that without him think teams mite break the line in the centre alot but time will tell.

If there is a problem, it needs sorting. I've noticed a few times so far he has been slow to get to his feet and therefore been missing from the defensive line. Probably because we rely on him so much, this has then caused problems and in some cases lead to tries such as against Hudds and yesterday. Can't afford to be doing that against Leeds so probably the right time in the season to sort it.

i thought he was a bit pants for the most of yesterday, a lot of the ball off the floor was higham-esque, not sure what was going on, but waaaay too long passes to first receiver, and nearly hitting players stood in the way.

I must have seen a different game. He was the entire central defence, if he misses a game, we will definitely see more breaks through our central defences.
I'd rather he leave the tackling to those around him, and concentrate on going forward where's he's at his most dangerous. I wish the rest of the pack, bar Benny had Monas work ethic.

Defensively I thought he was pretty good, as usual some shots that defied his size. Ball in hand I thought he was ropey, in fact I think he has been all season but I've put it down to a mixture of lack of pre-season and slow ruck speed with new interpretations, now I'll factor in this 'niggle' that he's been carrying.

He came alive with 15 to go, as the whole team did.
