Very good chance he will start our first game but probably on the wing. Between him and Rhys Williams.

Cheers. I was thinking Atkins and Bridge in the centres with J. Monaghan and Chris Riley on the wings.

With Hodgson missing the start of the season, Riley would be the obvious replacement but maybe TS has other ideas. I would guess our starting backline at the KC would be Riley, Joel, Bridge, Atkins, Rhys Evans, Ratchford and Briers.

Rhys Evan is a shoe-in for a first 13 spot and will share the goal-kicking duties with Stefan Ratchford. Get them both in your fantasy team now.

Not as many as Saints, who I am told have sold a magnificent 10,000 tickets.

Its been confirmed that we have sold over 9000 season tickets, which is a massive achievement for Saints, we are hoping to reach 10,000 season ticket sales, but I am not sure we have quite reached the 10k figure yet?

If my memory serves me right and most of the time it doesn't ! Two years ago I think we had 8000 season ticket holders so ten percent on that would make 8800 so I bet last year we must have got more season ticket holders so I reckon we can't be too far off 10 k ourselves ! And tbh I don't understand why the club will say ten percent up rather than we have to date sold x amount of season tickets which is an increase of 10%

To be honest I'd have been very surprised if we hadn't have sold more season tickets. I was privileged to watch the best rugby that I've seen in my 35 years of watching the Wire last season and if that doesn't get people flocking to the HJ then nothing will.

Fantastic news, it justifies the expansion, speeds up return on investment, plus future development plans could be pushed forward at this rate.

In 2008 we sold 5000 season tickets in the seated area alone so I would guess that they sold at least 3000 in the southstand that same season so between 2008 and now i can see us selling at least another 1500 tickets !

Me too (25 years) but that's damning with faint praise considering some of the dross we've had to watch over the years!

Great stuff. Website says that last years average attendance was 11,500, hopefully match day ticket sales can rise to a similar degree. In that case we'd be looking at an average attendance of 12,650.

However, I'm assuming that quite a few of the 10% will have been people who were match day ticketers last year, so it would be optimistic to hope for that. Good news though, long may it continue.
