I understand it has been said before but today confirmed to me AGAIN that John Clarke is not good enough and he has an adverse effect on the way the team plays. Today was not all his fault as several players did not play well but when he plays at hookers the play of ball is so slow and progress of the team is inhibited. Tony Smith must see something in him and you cannot call TS but I beleive if Clarke was not laying today we would have played better.

I'm a massive fan of Jon Clarke. Think he is up there with Lee and Woody in the respect he deserves. I think he can be extremely talented and versatile. But if he is wearing the PnB next season I would be surprised. If Higham is I'll be sick to my stomach.

We have the best hooker in league, if we could find someone half as good as him (preferably in the academy) to play back up would be fantastic. Mick and Jon are too old and not good enough

He'll do ok for Widnes next season.

He's good frineds with Cullen. Cull will try and sign players like Penny. Wouldn't suprise me if they tried to get Riley aswell.

They need SL players not all of them being world beaters, they'll probably play him LF though not hooker.

Its a shame really because as people point out hes been a great servant but the way things are developing in the team there isnt really a position for him , hes not what we are after out of dummy half and hes not strong/skilful enough for a loose forward and hasnt got that spark to lift a team off the bench.

i cant see it happening.... his days as a SL player are in the past im afraid.
