Not heard of this before. I expect our Wembley squad won't be playing.

Ronnie Duane was definitely involved. Wire still reigning champs AFAIK.
Beat 'Rest of World' in final, and I'm fairly sure Allan Langer was playing for them. However, the whole thing appears to have been airbrushed from history as I can't find owt about it on the web...

| It doesn't rank very highly on the "I Was There" charts but, nonetheless, I was actually there. If anyone's interested in forming a rival group to the Perpignan 52 then let me know.
Memories of the night include a Wigan steward letting us in for a couple of quid cheaper than the admission price by opening a gate for us and the very exotic Papua New Guinea fielding a team. Up to that night I'd never actually believed they played rugby there.
Oh yes, and we won it.
The squad that night was:
Mike Gregory
John Woods
Mark Roberts
Mark Forster
David Lyon
Rocky Turner
Ronnie Duane
Garry Sanderson
Billy McGinty
Brian Carbert
and, and I'm so glad because you know people are going to leap on this,
John Thursfield.
Rd 1 = Warrington 12 Wigan 6 (T: Turner, McGinty G: Woods 2)
Semi = Warrington 6 St Helens 0 (T: Forster G: Woods)
Final = Warrington 24 Rest of the World (T: Forster 2, Carbert, Roberts G: Woods 4)
Yes, of course I remembered all of that off the top of my head.
Oh OK, I had a little help from Google and the following page (which also has a great photo).

If for some reason we don't reach the Challenge Cup final this year, I would like to see a strong squad sent down for this one, with some exciting outside backs from the reserves included.
Our best chance of silverware, since we won the prestigious Wire FM trophy. In Smith we trust.

Can't see it tbh. I think its more than likely the side will be made up of half the reserve team.

Kevin Penny would surely enjoy the space.
