| how are the warm up games going? new signings, any injuries to key players, decent performances
went to donny today, hull's younger players beat doncaster 29 - 28 in an entertaining game (3 1st team regulars only in this team, rest were fringe and academy). perhaps a donny fan could indicate how strong their team was. donny played well in patches, especially in attack, and look a useful championship side. hull's 1st team squad beat york 62 - 0. was an injury to jordan rankin though, possible dislocation. hard to gauge york given the mismatch between the teams, they look to be in a bit of disarray at the moment sadly.

| York not helped by the ridiculous situation they find themselves in. That of being made homeless by the City of York Council.
The same City of York Council who reneged on the stadium agreement and are now in breach of their own planning application.
The same City of York Council who are having to repay £1.8m in illegally levied fines because they can't put proper signs up.
Rant over.
Leeds beat USA Pioneers 76-0 in Jacksonville. To be fair Leeds had a very strong team out and the Americans were outmatched both physically and in fitness terms.

| Dewsbury beat Salford yesterday. I can’t confirm but looking at the team sheet it appeared Dewsbury had a full strength team out, Salford on the other hand gave debuts to 12 players with only Gareth Hock (first game back since ban in July) and Theo Fages the recognisable first team names.
We’ve got Swinton next week followed by Hunslet.

Did Caton Brown and Taylor not play? I noticed they were in the squad.
And what do you mean wish you didn't go? I understand people want to see the new signings but that is the future of your club. I would rather see a team of youngsters play a competitive game than see the first team blow away some part timers. I wasn't at Doncaster yesterday, but I was more interested in the performance of the second team than the first team.

Caton-Brown didn't, Scott Taylor did though.
Exactly, you should have heard some of the moaning going on during and after the game by certain fans. Everyone knew what the squad was before we travelled over, in comparison the Dewsbury one was a strong and experienced Championship team that I have no doubts will trouble most teams at their place next season.
It was good to see the next generation, we've got some talented kids who will benefit from that run out in the first team.

| I enjoy watching the latest batch of up and coming youngsters in the friendlies, I can watch the first team in the 30+ games during the season.

Horrible weather and out of the only covered stands (2) one was shut so we were stuck behind the sticks open to the element.

| Warrington 16-0 Widnes last Wednesday. Sims looked great, Wheeler went well, Patrick Ah Van dropped nearly every ball that came his way.
