Anyone know the world record for consecutive hat tricks in RL? Ryan Brierley has now scored a hat trick in the last three games (eleven in total) and has certainly claimed a club record, so it would be interesting to know what the target is.

According to Mike Latham Leigh's historian Brian Bevan scored 4 consecutive hat tricks twice

They can't seem to break the glass ceiling of 52 points in a game.

Indeed. Almost like they get to 52 points then give up.

Seriously, very pleased for Leigh. They really are looking a force in the Championship this year.

You know when it just feels like it's YOUR time? That.

Everything seems to be falling into place for us at the moment. We are without debt for the first time in a long time; we have a great board who have a clear vision for the future and a team who are a joy to watch.

Of course it's very early days yet but I believe we have a squad who will be very difficult to beat this season and there's a definite buzz around town. Our gates have risen significantly even though we haven't played any of our biggest rivals yet and our boys are playing great rugby.

I don't often (in fact ever) praise the RFL but the return of P & R has ignited a long lost passion in the Championships and I can't wait to see how the season will unfold.

Bring it on.

Hopefully there'll be a few good cup ties to see how the top of the championship are doing against mid-bottom of SL.

Wonder how long it'll be before Ryan Brierley heads off to SL... if his try scoring is that good, won't be long. If I was a Leigh fan, I'd enjoy him while you can.

The beauty of the new system is that there would arguably be little benefit in him moving unless one of the big 4 came in. Why move to anyone but Wigan, Wire, Saints or Leeds? There is a pathway for the club there that hasn't been there for a long time.

Would swap him for Fages in an instant for Salford!

Hopkins, don't know what's happening there as he hasn't featured in SL and didn't go to Australia although rumour says London
Brierley will be going nowhere unless somebody has a couple of hundred grand floating, so Salford it is then at the end of the season............

Should wheeler break down (again) this year, he's unlikely to get a contract renewal, and there's already a bit of talk on the saints board about making a move for him to play alongside Walsh

Martin Offiah scored three hat-tricks in one game once.

Given in cricket 4 in 4 is called a double hattrick you could argue he scored 8 hattricks in one game!
