| Fiji are looking good, but don't count out the Samoans, with their big pack and the wizadry of Anthony Milford.

| Apart from Robbie Hunter-Paul needlessly turning Samoa into Sa-Moa with his delight at all things hyphened, it was a cracking game.

That is the correct pronounciation, and it's pretty much the only thing laid back Samoan's get their knickers in a twist about. He has probably been talking to some of the boys, who will quickly correct you if you say it wrong.

| I actually think Robbie Paul has been ok during this WC I usually think he's a bit naff but for whatever reason I think he's stepped up his game in the commentary box.

| A very good game all round, but Samoa lost due to picking a former stand-off at scrum half. Playing with two hookers one of who tackles and one who runs dummy half. They also had a prop in the second row, when he should have been at prop. Worse still they clearly had a couple of blokes who like a beer and known nutters who should never ever be picked. And to many Kiwis posing as Samoans. Disgusting. Oh, and to make matters worse the coach is that bloke who lasted 5 minutes at Salford.
But what really did for me was the shade of blue of the kit, that odd white piping, I could have done better. There was not enough marketing aimed at Warringtons huge Samoan cumin it's one of the smallest outside of Tonga I am told.
But of course all of this is in fact Chase, Sinfield and MacNamarra's fault.

It's correct if you're from Samoa.
Still doesn't stop it being an annoyance when he says it in every sentence.

| On a more sensible note, I enjoyed yet another very good game played by very brave hard and charming players, who yet again demonstrated superb sportsmanship that many of the over paid soccer players could well do to learn from.
Hard luck Samoa, well done Fiji.
Wembley here I come!

Er, don't they get to choose how to the name of their own country should be pronounced?

No because highly opinionated RL fans know far better about absolutely everything that goes on in the world. Must be due to their stoic Northern up bringing.

If you are talking to a group of huge Samoans who obviously care how the name of their country is pronounced, they always get to choose.

| I can't believe Marky Mark Taufua can't get a contract next year. He couldn't get much of a run for Cronulla first grade this year because they had a very good pack, but he led their reserves to a title win and he seems to have a lot more to offer. He is getting old I suppose, but he hasn't got too many miles on the clock because he was a very late starter in the game, playing park union till his mid 20s. I believe he is playing for Newcastle Wests next season because he can't get an NRL offer.

| Great game.
Fiji will finish 4th for the second WC in a row.
They were a bit lucky last time with Hayne and Uate running a 2 man show, but this time they got there with a great team effort and by doing everything possible during the last 2 years to get the best possible side on the field.
The unsung hero's are coach Rick Stone and halfback Aaron Groome. Stone has been working with hundreds of players for the last few years to get the right group together and get them working as a unit and he had to pluck Groome out of a third grade comp and get him fit and strong enough to play against the best in the world. Groome was a very good under 20s player 5 years ago but he never went anywhere in the seniors because he was small and weak. He always had the kicking game and vision, but getting his defence and fitness up to this level is a bit of a miracle. He outplayed Roberts today, and Roberts is a quality NRL player with years of experience.

| Great Fijian turnout today at the game, was great post match with all the celebrations in the North East corner of the ground, especially with some of the Fijian players coming in to the crowd to celebrate with the fans and pose for pictures etc, makes you love rugby league even more!

If you're English it's Samoa if you're Samoan it's Sa-moa.
I bet RHP puts an Italian accent on when ordering food in an Italian restaurant.

| Another thing to come out of this World Cup is that Samoa has a great player pool to call on. Half the NZ team are Samoan as well.
If a firstgrade coach wanted to make a name for himself he could do worse than to take on Samoa for the next WC. A decent coach putting in time to get the right squad together and Samoa will threaten the top 3 by next WC.
