| As supporters we wear our replica shirts to games, wear them down the pub, sometimes wash them on the wrong heat settings along with other clothing to make up a load...well that's how it works in my house.
Just wondering which shirt manufacturers products have proven to been the best quality this season?
X Blades shirts from the NRL look pretty poor quality this year especially for the price.
On the other side of the coin I bought the new Kangaroos on field replica made by Canterbury... and it's excellent quality as well as being vented to keep you cool unlike a lot of other polyester ones.

| Canterbury produced one of the worst tops for my club in 2009. It just didn't fit properly. In fact, none of the original batch did. It wasn't anything to do with having the wrong size, the shirt had been manufactured badly and all of them were made out of shape.
ISC produce the best of the current shirts I wear most often, apart from a heavy cotton 2011 shirt.

| I haven't bought a [Warrington shirt this year as I think both the replicas are awful, particularly the home jersey. We switched to ISC in 2010, the home jerseys for that year and 2011 quickly became unwearable, particularly the former which all the adverts have fallen off. 2011 away was better but still probably not worth £45. My best quality shirt is the primrose and blue hoops made by Canterbury in 09, still like new!

| You were lucky!! I used to dream of having a new shirt!!
London didn't do one this season, stuck with the same as last year - and the quality of that was terrible! They did make a red shirt for the Challenge Cup but it wasn't put on sale to the punters!

| Wigans shirts have improved a lot quality wise since the patrick days. I don't have this years but last years ISC one is still going strong, And I've also got this years Rabbitohs which is also ISC and no problems with that so far either.

| My Canterbury Warriors gear is all in very good nick considering I wear a rugby shirt most days of the week. The leisure stuff is also spot on...tumble dried or not.
Best lasting London shirt was one made by TFGSPORTS in 2004.....it's in mint condition. Kooga shirts from the Harlequins Rugby League days are all in pretty good nick and even my old 2002 broncos shirt complete with virgin logo and collar is still wearable.
I have refused to buy any London Broncos gear due to the incompetent c+(t in charge of the club employing a cricket manufacturer that doesn't ship overseas, but I hear their stuff is anyway!

| Burrda have made our kits the last two seasons. Last year's home was a nice material / quality and still looks good. This year I got the away shirt. Again nice material and feels comfortable, but seems to mark easily, eg just from seatbelts?!! :S
Over the last ten years the shirt supplier I liked the most was Kukri, but unfortunately we only had them one year (I was told they unreliable but this was only by I friend I heard). Really nice quality though and comfy.
I've had a few Wales RU Under Armour shirts the last couple of years. Their quality is fantastic and it seems they're trying to build their brand in the UK so be interesting to see if they take the plunge into RL here.
In terms of older suppliers we've had some great ones over the years. Our most famous partnership was with adidas for many years, but from my era I loved our kits by Le Coq Sportif and some of our Avec ones. Re-bought a 98 Avec home shirt from a fellow fan off here the other year. Love it to death and reckon it'll have to have a run out for the derby week after next.

| I went to buy the HKR shirt this year but at nearly £50 it was not worth it (thin fabric, for that price I want shirts in the same material that the first team wear) I got a couple of smart polo shirts for the same price.

| FC's home kit this year seems pretty crap quality. The main issue being the V on the chest not being in line with this shoulders but only on a number of shirts. In the past we've also had problems with the transfers peeling off. All have been made by ISC.

The shirt itself hasn't been too bad for me, but the sponsors printed on started to flake away very early.

| This year's bulls away shirt is the best in years, quality is a lot better than the kooga rubbish.
Got the Australia jersey made by classic in 2006, best quality shirt I've ever bought, still in brilliant condition.

| As most teams change them every winter now, why bother making the shirts of a quality that will last more than 10 washes or so?
I think the manufacturers think this way.
My ISC Dragons one from last season is still in good nick, but it didnt have sponsors on it.

You are probably right but why pay £50 for a thin bit of cloth? I have a HKR replica top from the 80's apart from the colours fading a bit the cloth is great & I wear it for working around the house. some of the later ones were also thick hard wearing material I have left at least a dozen in remote parts of Africa were they are probably still being used.

| Haven't purchased a Rhinos ISC shirt this year however I do have both the 2012 shirts. The actually shirts are in great nick and look fine. However the large advertising panel on the front of the shirt has come away at every corner and looks a bit cr4p

| Hull's replica shirts seem to be poorer quality year on year, and yet the price just keeps on rising. Haven't bought one for years and don't intend to start until the quality improves substantially.

maybe that's because there's not that much heavy contact in cricket

May aswell buy a polo shirt which is half the price, isnt covered in sponsors and and doesn't look dated after a year.
i still have the last GB shirt which i wear from time to time.made by puma and all stitched logo's stitched in.has been through wash many times but still looks great, a proper rugby top.

| Could the RFL not impose a 2 season life cycle ruling?
It would make clubs plan their kits better and I think more people would buy them if they knew it had a reasonable life span.

| Correct. And if people are this thread indicate aren't buying kits for quality reasons, could they be tempted back into spending £50 if they knew the product would last?
£50 every two years is better than £0 every year.
