| I would'nt play him. Seen it too many times in the past and Salford did it tonight with Locke.
But if Burns is injured like people are stating then we might not have any choice.

| Burns picked up a knock and was taken off as a precaution - I'd be very surprised if there was anything more to it.

| If Walsh is back I hope Wilkin doesn't displace Greenwood from left second row.

I thought it was his hamstring at first because he appeared to go for the back of his leg just after he'd kicked the ball. However, he was also then tackled and a knee went in so it could be that rather than his hamstring. Either way we could do without him being injured for next weekend.

| I thought Burns knocked his knee onto that of the kick charger.
I'd go with last night's team, but perhaps with Jones coming in for Flash.
If Walsh was fit, Flash would surely lose out and wilkin move to back row?

| From what I've read, Walsh's leg is 100% fine and he's fit, he just hasn't trained because he came down with a virus. He'll be training this week and if he goes well, I'd play him.
KC says he's worried about risking him for just one game, but it could be one of those gambles that's worth it. Like I said though, it depends how he goes in training throughout the week.

| Same as last night, with Masoe on the bench and Walmsley starting for me. Walsh in for Flanagan if fit.

| Can see Masoe having a good game here. He seems to step it up in bigger games and there's no bigger than this where he'll play. Against Wigan in the Grand Final, other play off games and for Samoa he seems to step up so I think he'll do so here.

| I'm glad we mixed the team up a bit. Let's us see a few new faces and lets people fight for places.
That said, I'd have Jones back in the team.
Other than that same again.

| I think I'd pick Jones ahead of Flash. I like Flash - he's a hard worker and a gritty defender - but he's a total passenger in attack. Jones just strikes me as a better all-round player. But I don't think there's much in it, and I wouldn't be at all worried if it was the same 17. I suspect we may end of with neither of them in the team anyway, as I reckon KC will take a punt on Walsh and move Wilkin into the back row.

It depends whether we stick with the huge bench (I suspect we will, as Souths have a fearsome pack). If we bring Hohaia back in then you'd think LMS would go into the starting line up in place of Flanagan. If Hohaia and Walsh play then there are going to have to be some tough decisions made.

Think I'd stick with flash over Jones against Souths. I think flash stands up in big games and always ups his game when our backs against the wall. I agree that flash is dead in attack but Imo our defence will win the game next Sunday and flash can defend. We have enough attacking players to worry Souths without jones.
I'd stick with same 17 but drop Mose to the bench and start with big Alex. I think mose needs to up his game or he could find himself out the 17.

I wanted to see Flash get a game, but to be fair to Jones his stats in terms of defense were outstanding last week and Flash this week, well not so much. If it was not for Roby, Jones would have been the outstanding defensive player last week.
At 40 tackles last week, I think only Roby and Danny houghton made more.

Two totally different games your comparing. I'm pretty sure flash would have put a fair few tackles in last week.
I'd go with flash based on him really stepping up in big games.
