This is another great idea by Steve Prescott. The man's a local genius. Pity we can't vote for him!

Incidentally, might it not be a good idea to post about this on the boards of our near neighbours? After all, the awards are for people who were born in St Helens or who live here. They could have been born here but live in other local towns or be from other local towns and live here.

I'm glad that Andy Reid won the overall Pride of St Helens award along with the courage award as aside from Steve Prescott himself, who couldn't be nominated, he is probably the person most people in St Helens are proud of just now.
