Come the semi final I don't think tonight's result will matter to much. I'm actually worried after tonight because tonight's match will give you nothing but motivation to make amends, plus you always have a nack of putting in a performance when it really matters..

The feeling of beating Wire last year in the GF eliminator when we had no right was immense, so in a way I guess that last night should be used as motivation. Weve got 5 games left before the semi and we SHOULD be targeting at least 6/8 pts out of the next ten as well as prepping for Wigan.

Lets face it, is BMc going anywhere before 14th July? And leaving Lowes in charge? Probably not.

They don't do humility very well wigan fans do they? It's always been the same. Right back to that obese pie eater sat smugly that you see on the bbc coverage of the 1995 cup final right on the final hooter.

Yet when things aren't all cushty with wigan winning, and other fans let them know, they throw around bans like confetti.

Throw in their reaction to mcguire in 2010 and they really are a laughable set of fans.

I'm not writing us off yet, however bad it looks at the moment. If the likes of Tomkins got injured or suspended before the game would Wigan fans still be so confident? I said it before in that Wigan could be peeking too early, Wane doesn't have much experience and could be trying to prove that he is a capable coach by doing everything to win in the weekly rounds.

Wane is a very experienced coach - he is ensuring there is no complacency and creating a winning mentality. McDermott's view is getting hammered by the better sides is the way forward!!

According to their fans they are just getting warmed up and will get 20 times better when the injured players come back and win the grand final by 100 points.

We were guilty of it sometimes in 2004 and 2005. When your team pretty much puts in perfect performances ''nah, we were in 3rd gear, we'll only get better.

after saints 70-0 in 2004 ''we looked like we weren't interested, i hope we get out of 1st gear next week''.

Wigan are on an 8 game winning run, in that time they've demolished grand final runners up 3 times and demolished the champions on their home patch with a weakened team. It is unlikely they will hit a better vein of form this season than the one they are currently experiencing. Having posted that i fully expect to be proven wrong as I always am but in my experience a team hitting such good form nnow has a nasty habbit of dropping off towards the end of the season.
