The Blue and White invasion of Blackpool has begun, all coaches away from shay, all dect on blue and White.

I hVe just arrived back in Halifax and will be joining the invasion in approx 4 1/2 hours!

Lots of Leythers, but many more Fax. Good and friendly, makes up for the weather.

Just witnessed a rendition of "fax on fire" in Yates's. Stirring indeed. Now in the tangerine bowl. Lovely stadium.

Really? you did'nt have as many i didnt think, its difficult to tell because you can't see all your own fans because your sat with them.

I was sat near half way line and it was clear Fax had more fans behind the posts than the Leythers end.
So unless the West Stand as more populated by Leythers I reckon we just edged the support count.

The South-West corner was much more full than the North-West. Wouldn't say there was much difference to be honest though there weren't enough seats to go round for those stood up at the back!

Who cares , it was good support both in numbers , vocals and attitude from both sets of fans , and a grand day out by the seaside

Hate this we got more fans than you thing but it was clear to me the North Stand was fuller than the South, so more Fax fans were there, end of.

If you want to be pedantic about it I reckon you could halve each of the ends as regards proper fans. The rest were people who went along for the ride ,I bet the BODs of both the clubs wished that all those who turned up at Blackpool actually turned up on the terrace at home every match.
So if any of you took along or were in the company of someone who did not normally go to a match get them down to watch the York or Tolouse game. Increasing the crowds is without question the bigest thing that faces our clubs and if we were geting the crowds that went along to Blackpool on Sunday at every match we would be in Super League on the 26th.

A couple of us were discussing this before the game but when you think that both clubs sold in the region of 3-3,500 tickets and average 2-2,500 at home then in theory there aren't [ithat[/i many attending who aren't existing fans. Maybe it's a case of there not being enough of a catchment outside of the existing fan base, unlike football where, for example, you might see Brentford take 40,000 to Wembley in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy final and then get 6,000 at home the next week?

Did we have over 3,000 Fax fans at the Batley game?
I do know one thing the extra 1,000 or so at every match would make a massive differance to both clubs.
