Although I won't be covering the last three Qualifiers games for the club, I'll still try and upload previews and reports (get most of the match info off Twitter) to my blog and post them on here.

After a disappointing afternoon at Leigh, we move on to Salford. With the remaining fixtures all coming against Super League sides, it'll be a good test for our guys to see how far off we are from where we need to be. The Red Devils conceded over 20 points against Halifax so I'm confident we'll also post a healthy amount of points, just how good our defence will be is a different matter.

It looks as though the rugby league great,and gentleman,Adrian Morley is making every effort to play in what may well be his final home game at the Salford home stadium.

The Referee: G Hewer has been appointed for the game.I wish him well;shouldn't think he has refereed there before.

As far as it stands,apart from the results against Leigh,both clubs have been well beaten at Bradford and both have defeated Halifax.

Salford have done very well with players from Championship clubs.Greg Johnson,who scored a hat trick last week,joined from Batley,as did a player who always seems to put in a full shift,Josh Griffin.Both coached by John Kear who may also have coached their hooker Tommy Lee at Hull FC,who will probably top their tackle count.

The other hooker,Liam Hood,was signed from Hunslet,as they exited League 1 - though he had been on Leeds roster.

With their back 3 scoring long distance tries I am sure that a repeat can be prevented.

The quick turnaround from Sunday to Friday night - the only side to do so in these Qualifiers - has been made more difficult by Salford having the delayed start at 5pm.

I am optimistic of better things this Sunday.

Full credit to Sheffield today. You played some decent rugby in attack and showed some of our over paid 'stars' how to do it. Your last score must be a strong contender for try of the season at the AJ Bell - just a shame more of your fans weren't there to see it (though respect to the noisy few who were - looked like you were enjoying yourselves). Good luck for the rest of the season and next year.

While I agree,the same could be stated about your fans in showing the appreciation due to a player who has served the sport,in both hemispheres,with such distinction for such a period of time.
While your club seem to have managed to rid itself of the unruly element amongst the supporters there seems a clear lack of confidence on and off the field.
I certainly hope you remain in Super League and start the climb to greater things in 2016.

Though our errors,penalties,and failure to capitalize on the territory and possession we had in the second half didn't help us.
