Eccleston 28-8 Newton Storm
less said the better, didnt perform at all today, lost our two best players at 6 and 9 to injury early doors and never recovered.
sounds like problems at Bolton then, but at least they are fielding a side, unlike westhoughton.
think they need a new pitch!! their players must be pulling their hair out!

widnes 20 - wildboars 34
not the best performance by far but a win is a win top defence from the boars down to 11 and held out. Referee was an absolute tool honestly dont know where NWC picked him from sure even widnes will agree

he even added on injury time sure he thought it was the premier league good job widnes tigers have floodlight because they needed to be turned on thought the sun was gonna come up. Asked for the score at full time 59-20 to boars he said dunno where he plucked that from
They are a big side widnes though im suprised there not a bit higher up in the league

At the start of season Westhoughton played all their games away so the pitch could be spiked properly & get sorted out. Hope they got their money back! To be fair that plot of land is a bit of a quagmire when there's heavy rain - doesn't seem to have any drainage at all. They've played 2 games at home all year.

Changing rooms at Cricket Club Westhoughton use had burst pipe and were flooded,
Fixture was changed to Chorley, it was them that cancelled the game Saturday morning due to pitch conditions. |

| Chorleys pitch gets water logged very easily  But plans are underway to have proper drainage installed. Waiting for the surveyors to come down and have a look at whats needed, so hopefully this will be resolved in the near future.  |

Just think that some of the players have got disheartened after losing the majority of the games, I'm not sure which way its going to go at the end of the season. Just hope we can still put out teams until then. |

Referee was ridiculous. Give some howlers against both teams including the outrageous forward pass he let slide giving the boars a try when it was 20-24  . He wouldn't even tell me how long was left when I was asking him like it was some secret only he could know. Berk. His watch stopped halfway through the second half as he ran over and asked our touchline for a spare watch so I don't really think he had a clue how long was gone/left. |

you will know if it is the guy if he turns up late, comes into your changing rooms talks about stuff like quick taps and kicking to touch for 30 seconds then goes onto talking about ungentlymanly conduct for half and hour and gives you about 50 different examples on it. brings a tamagotchi instead of a working watch, struggles to walk and spends half of the match with his back to the game. |

Ok boys here it is. THIS is the guy who has been saying we are all no good bums and he is going to smash us! This is the face to the name. His name is Mike Wharton and he will be prop on Saturday if he doesn’t chicken out. For a visual reference see this youtube freeze frame of his 'threatening face'. I use this term VERY lightly.

1. He has week ribs. Attack them hard.
2. He has a below average pain threshold. I saw him actually cry 2 years ago when he slipped into a hedge in Edinburgh. FACT
3. He has a big mouth. Sometimes referred to as 'The Machine' don't be worried as this has just been shortened my teammates as 'The Penalty Machine' is a bit of a mouthful. Pinch him on the ground and watch the penalties come flooding out of his mouth.
4. He is a back trapped in a forwards body. This is evident by his attempted 'side steps' which are now slower than the cantilever swing bridge in Stockton Heath. FACT2
5. His nickname in school and still to this day (To the Newton lads he probably has hid this well but you should definitely use it) is SAD SACK. This is as Mike, right up to the age of 15, would insist on bringing his Sad Sack doll everywhere he went. Sad Sack was Mikes favourite Raggy Doll and the Raggy Dolls was Mikes favourite TV Show. The doll was like his security blanket and he was often found cuddling it in quiet corners. Sad Sack was the oldest doll in the reject bin and I guess Mike could really relate to this. FACT3
So take a good look at Sad Sack and make sure he knows he has been in a game!
