He is fast, strong and tall, but that's all right now. He's very green and prone to errors. I hope he goes well for you, as I like to see the London products do well - but I can't see it tbh. Don't think he'll be a first team regular.

got him cheap just like we got green cheap and look what happened with him but lets be very honest he has got to be better than latus

He defo brings some much needed speed, something we haven't had much of this season.

At last someone with pace, he may be raw around the edges but so are our other options but to add a strike element to our back line is an improvement

He's not likely to displace Hodgson or Hall but when we need a replacement he looks more capable than Latus.
As a side note, how close is Dave Scott to breaking through? I was under the impression he was further along than Johnson in terms of development.

We've lacked genuine pace for years. Ali Mac was the last player that could outstrip most defences and go the length. Casey Mayberry was close and possibly the fastest i've ever seen over 40mtrs but far too injury prone and volatile.

Very harsh on Latus IMO, he scores most outings, defends well above his weight and is a cheap option to rely on in times of injury and suspension. Yes we now have Caro and he should be better, certainly faster but will he be safe under the high ball? Will his defence be suspect considering the two centres we will have out there next to the wingers? Welham is very suspect in defence and Gleeson while ok at defending is nowhere near Webster who still had a few issues in that department compared to similar stature players playing elsewhere.

I'd filter Caro in next season with the hope of him becoming a regular on the score sheet. Would love to see some kick and chases from him too when there is no full back at home!!!

Agree with that. Would like to see a kick from the scrum if Caro is playing. Always like that as an option if there is no one at fullback. Haven't seen it done at Rovers for a while.

I've watched him come through the youth with the likes of Dixon, Sargeson etc- he isnt a patch on them.

He is fast in an open field, that said Ive seen him closed down by forwards(he bottles it). Very poor in defence(flat footed and gets caught in no mans land between centre and winger)

the reason you havent seen it is because 99 times out of a hundred it gives the ball to the opposition

It depends if you plan it well enough and calculate who you have against you. Eg if you had Caro v Latus (I don't mean to pick on Latus but he is the slowest out of our wingers) do you really think Latus would get to the ball 99 times before Caro? Or if you stick him against a slower centre? I know they wouldn't get to it everytime but you can maximise your chances.

Watching a clip of Cory Paterson recently, when he was touted as an NFL kicker, he can hang a kick of in the air similar to what Pat Richards does, so a fast winger such as Caro might benefit from the chase.
