An "international" wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and play for Rovers but he's 4/5 years past his best so we passed.

Justin Morgan has been our coach for 4 and a half years now and I've learned that he knows better than me so I tend not to worry about the direction he's takes with the squad, because his results of progress validate his excellent credentials in this respect.

We still need two hard as nails props, other than that we're covered as far as I can see. We've brought in a lot of youth from other clubs whilst letting others go, but as long as we get two props; to replace Macca and Fozzard, I think we're as strong if not stronger than this year.

Take into account that you've been lucky with injuries which can't last and the fact that other teams have strengthened, you need to be a lot stronger next year than this in order to maintain your league position.

You make a valid point; with eveyone playing in their natural positions, we matched anyone; but if we had a few playing out of position we struggled. But so do most other teams. That's the point of the capping system; so teams cannot have a dozen internationals warming the bench and plying in the reserves.

Didnt realise Cas were in for him TBH. A move to Celtic would be a big upheaval for him and his family I would imagine but then again if the money is good...

I was told a while ago that he wasnt bothered too much about the money, i also heard today that the offer he has been given by rovers is far more lucrative that the numbers been banded about on here.
