The problem obviously is with what the agent has said about not being in a rush to sign for any S/L clubs as he really wants to go back to Aussie, whilst Paeas already told NH 2 weeks earlier that hes off to Hull.

All agents say the same to boost their clients contract potential. The problem with a lot of rovers fans appears to be that you believe you are the greatest club on earth, and how dare anyone want to leave.

Hugell is not been slated for lying, just everything else. Including been am amature businessman who has just embarrassed his club and its fans and made life very difficult for his employees, one in particular for no gain whats so ever. It won't help the way you play, it won't help your salary cap, it won't help your league position, it won't help other perception of Hull KR and how it is run.

No, you're right it won't much. It just brings to a head a little bit sooner - that is at least arguably better than it bleeding on. Like removing a sticking plaster, you're better just gritting your teeth and doing with one sharp pull. I think most Rovers fans would think it best that he challenged Mather's version, assuming it was innaccurate as well as negative. Some of the points NH makes toward the end of the article in the HDM, imo, dilute rather than add to his argument, and if I was his press advisor, I'd have suggested limiting to the more equanimous opening part. Bit of a cold fish me, though.
I think Mickey himself realised it wasn't now going to hold to anywhere near his 'return to Australia to consider his options', and saying he wanted it 'sorted in the next couple' of weeks represented his efforts to save a bit of face, while managing the situation his agent had created in a realistic way. Could NH have called on Paea to set the record straight, privately. Yes, IMO. As a Hull fan put on a mock up of Mickey in a Hull shirt - haters be hating. Our gormers will blame Mickey's supposed 'treachery', yours will blame Neil's 'bitterness'. Any real ill feeling anybody has is really their own problem, and reflects on them. It is an extremely minor PR skirmish at the end of the day and anybody who takes it very seriously, really shouldn't. That was going to happen anyway. Only 3 home fixtures left helps. It maybe could have been kept under wraps until after Salford at very best - but a fair few Hull fans were shouting the news out there, so equally, maybe not.
If he gives his all in the next couple of away games, by the time of the Salford game it'll hopefully have mostly blown over.

However, I don't think it is the least controversial to suggest they collaborate to provide the part of their readership with an interest in Hull FC with stories about the club - whether it be about Jacob Miller's soap star good looks or how content a figure Joe Westerman cuts as he looks out from the balcony of the clubhouse at your training ground.
