He could have left Gentle out of it agreed, but omitting that it was Hull FC - well, he could have played coy and let them drag it out of him, but it was obvious anyway.

He'll get away with it - assuming it transpires as he says, because while FC fans will see whatever he does as bitter etc, we'll, equally predictably, see it as him sticking up for the club's best interest.

It could have been handled better, but maybe we need to look at ourselves as fans and admit that if we want the truth, we need to be mature enough to handle it in an adult manner. It is ridiculous that players feel that they have to make up stories to throw us off the scent. They should man-up, but so frankly should we. So I suggest we show Paea every basic respect and courtesy, to demonstrate that this sort of nonsense isn't needed. If we now slate or boo him, can we really complain if others try to spin us a line in the future, when similar circumstances arise?

What a load of drivell being trotted out on here, Unless my command of English has gone Hudgel was slating the agent for basicly lying (not keeping information quiet) If he has signed as the owner of KR Hudgel has the right to know what the person He employs is doing untill the last day of his contract, what the people at FC think is irelevent untill they are paying him. It's none of Rovers business where Paea will be playing next year. His only duty to Rovers is to tell them he won't be at the club next year.

I think you will find an employer has the right to know what the person they employ is doing & what is revealed to any outsider about their employment while they are paying them. You are right it is none of rovers business what he dose next season but I am sure that this season has at least 9 games left to run & rovers are still paying him.

I don't remember Hull FC fans cringing with embarrassment especially at Pearson's ebullient response to the Luke Briscoe thing. The general feeling was that he was standing up for Hull FC rather than in anyway spitting his dummy.
