I would say that the Rhinos outside backs will rip apart Hall or Horne BUT I think it is too much of a risk to play Burns without having Hall in the side 'just in case'.

That being said Salter might be able to defensively handle the pressures of playing against such good backs.

Personally I'd put Hall in and as for Costigan not starting the game? I aren't sure where that comes from? He is a player that has shown up well in pre-season and while a tad over weight I would say game time is the only way he's going to shed the pounds during the season as they don't do much cardio work during the season in training. His passing game has certainly shown we can be dangerous out wide and he can take some pressure off down the middle when needed.

Justin Poore is a starting prop and nothing else IMO.

Either way the players sat up in the stands shows just how strong we are. Not a luxury Craig is used to.

Talking to some people a couple of weks ago, the pitch is not in a good condition, there may be drainage issues caused by the new stand.

The players haven't been able to train on it for weeks so I think we can expect a very heavy surface suited to carting the ball up.

It depends if CS is looking to destroy Leeds up the middle or not.
I have no doubt Langley will play 13 and I can't see Horne playing so Weyman, WalkerX2, Green, or Poore is going to have to at some point unless we expect Costigan to play 80 mins.
Although now I'm thinking about it I can see Hodgson playing 80 mins again with Carlile covering him when he goes SR.

CS might be tempted to play the Walker brothers together to see if there competitive streak spurrs them both on.
disappointing to not have Cox and Lovegrove in there but I guess that shows the depth we have now.

I think a young forward with an older forward will work well. And I would rather lovegrove be on the bench then Horne can play in the pack and centre if needed

What a feel good factor this club is in at the moment, and with strength in depth we have by leaving the likes of Cox, Gleeson and Lovegrove sat in the stands shows how far we have come this season. Bring on Sunday, I for one cant wait!!

I really feel for Coxy and Lovegrove on this one. Sandercock must really fancy Larroyer to put him ahead of Jordan and Rhys!
If Burns plays I would play Hally on the wing instead of Disco or Charlie, Salter plays because of his defence, as someone stated earlier it could be a tight affair because of the pitch/weather so as many good defenders needed.
Maybe even leave Welham out whose defence needs to improve.

That team doesn't look good enough to beat Leeds hopefully the actual team will be a bit stronger. The 3/4 in particular we look outclassed and without Burns we'll be no match at half back.

If Burns is half fit he must play there's no point saving him for a virtually unwinnable game at Huddersfield a week later.

So, we have 75% of our first choice 3/4s available yet still look 'outclassed'?

Leeds most people agree have the best 3/4's in the competition but we only play them twice a season.

We need Burns on the right hand side to disrupt them otherwise they WILL run riot. Then we have chance because our forwards are the match of theirs.

Salter had the best game of his career up against Moon last year, he should be playing tomorrow. Craig Hall also has to be in the team because his goal kicking is far better than anyone else in the team. With this in mind I'd put Hall on the wing for Hodgson.
Hall's best spell for Rovers came at the back end of the 2011 season while he was on the wing so we know he is capable and his height offers something different out wide. Cockayne offers more than Hodgson as well IMO so warrants his spot.

Hodgson is a better winger than cockayne and he kicks goals

leeds' back 5 looks very strong but their halfs aren't great and their forwards are getting on a bit so I think if rovers' forwards can get on top you have the beating of them

Home advantage is huge in this one, if we get our tactics right, we should be disappointed not to win.

Leeds rarely lose their first game of the season, but I think we have a real chance on Sunday.

I want to see a boring game, a war of attrition, I want to see us kick early and well, defend tight with good line speed and grind them down.

We need to shut them down at the ruck and make it a complete forward game. I want our second rowers jamming in and stopping any ball to their three quartets.

A nasty ugly game is what I want to see.
