I'll be honest I never listen to what agents have to say as they are only interested in making their client and therfore themselves as much money as possible.

We've had it last year with Prince' agent telling us how keen he was to come and set to sign, when he never had any intention of signing.

Hudgell seems to think that by giving sandercock a 1 year deal it provides stability at the club when it obviously doesn't

Having said that even if sandercock had a 3 year deal if another club offers him more money to play infront of a bigger crowd at better ground and also have better training facilities he'd be crazy to turn it down

Reading between the lines this is what happened, Mickey has told his team mates he's taken up the offer Hull tabled 'as it was too good to turn down'. So it looks like Mickey put the record straight. Wouldn't expect him to go to the press tho'.

The reason for mentioning money is to cut off the usual rubbish about it been for the love of FC just like when you signed GE.

Nobody signs for the love of any club, especially imports. I don't remember anyone stating that Gareth Ellis signed for that reason either, tbh.

But let's not pretend that it's all about money, and implying it is, is silly. It's about striking the balance between maximising income without diminishing your ambition, like it was for GE, and something Elliott Whitehead would do well to remember.

If he has signed for ANYONE, it shows his true character as he has been quoted as saying he is still weighing up his options. All he needs to say is 'I have agreed a deal, but it's confidential at this time'

Making out he is still looking after having signed for another club is showing immense disrespect. If he had come out and said 'I have signed for Hull' I for one would have though a damned sight higher of him.

Oh come on, players announce things when they feel it's right, nobody comes out the day they sign and announce it. It is not up to NH to announce where his out of contract players have signed.

If the article had been from an 'IF he's signed for FC then tell us' point of view it would have been better.

He mentioned it as the player and agent are clearly playing a game for some strange reason.

It does occur that it is possible for there to have been a misunderstanding, based on our partial official knowledge.

If MP rejected our offer, because there was a much better deal on the table from Hull that we couldn't match, perhaps NH interpreted that as 'I'm off to Hull', rather than 'Hull is currently my best option'. This would explain Mather's (otherwise strange) quotes in the HDMail and Mickey's follow-up to it, as well as fitting slightly better with Gentle's comment about waiting and other options (though that could easily just have been diplomacy). If that is what has happened, and he did go to the NRL after all... well actually I think I prefer him going to Hull over that scenario!

If you want to show the agent up for telling untruths then fine, but I think it's disrespectful to name the club. He calls them out saying that he's aware they've signed a deal, then makes Paea/Agent admit that it's Hull FC. That is still a pretty low thing to do IMO, but he couldn't help himself because it's us.
