They have now changed a few of the seats around the 'O' in 'ROVERS' to be more bold if people haven't noticed. Looks much better now.

Been waiting for this. Just tried to buy for the North Stand via the website - still not showing the stand. Why do I sound surprised?

Amended safety certificate has been issued for the North stand by the council, details in the notice section of HDM. Maybe the stand will be ready for the World Cup.

After seeing it first hand on sunday I must say the grounds starting look the buisiness .

The pitch has something to do with the boxing that was held there I think. Im sure it was in good condition before that. If only we could sort that south stand out we would have an excellent RL ground

I go to the fit fans a rovers and get to train on the pitch its full of bold patches and small holes due to the boxing you don't get to see how bad it is from the stands and yes some parts of the pitch are spray painted green I though someone would have gone over and done there ankle in on sunday its that bad

I've expressed my opinions many a time.

When it came to relaying the pitch in 2006 why didn't we relay the pitch close to the south stand. We'd have had a stand with a decent view straightaway and alot of the problems with viewing goes out the window. We then have the east extension that went on the north side of the east stand built on the south end closing that end off. The new North stand gets built as it is now on the north with the side expansion hitting the east stand instead of the north west corner

Problem solved.

Then the restricted view in the west stand, closest to the stand, is even more restricted. The tunnel comes out on the 20m line.

Isn't it best leaving the west in the middle and building a south stand closer?

I agree with edith on that one even though I get where you are coming from with the idea. Also surely away fans should be able to stand which usually produces a better atmosphere I get there will always be people who want/need to sit. Anyway little by little CP is coming together

Might have been cheaper and more preferable for sponsors to have extended the west stand rather than build a new sth stand!

Not enough room for the 2600 seats we now have in the North Stand, no office space for the business hub or the restaurant facilities added, no grant or council help without the last two and we would have had to shut the west stand during the upgrade. I cannot see any benefit or cost saving to the club in doing that at all at this time. When the south stand is done we will have a four sided ground and the club can look at the west stand, I would suggest extending the south end at ground level first followed by a new roof for both the west and east stands. The west could then have additional seats added towards the south and a connecting section to the north (assuming the caveat has expired from the grants for the North), all this will not be possible until the economy has picked up and monies are available for investment in the club.
