Does this mean Sio or Mantellato are being lined up for full back?

I reckon mantellato will be full back.

Are we ditching Cockyane then? My guess at a starting back line would be :-

1. Cockayne
2. Mantellato
3. Welham/Salter
4. Goulding
5. Sio

I'd rather mantellato at 1 than cockayne. Just my preference of course.

I think Sio might play centre

Not a bad panel of outside backs, but I do worry about the lack of a real specialist full back.

I would be happy with that line up, with cockayne on the wing. My worry is the lack of decent half backs creating space and opportunities for them. We've seen how Welham has struggled since dobbo's departure.

Dixon played near enough all his academy rugby as a Full Back

Interesting.

I think wherever he's played there will be questions over his defence. My abiding memory of him was Alex Brown trappling over him for a 1st half hat-trick last year.

I would still like to see Eden at FB,

Bags of pace, would just need to get them the service.

So if you have Eden at full back you just need Dixon to score 6 tries a match to cover his mistakes then

If I were in charge of the transfer fees we've received our back line would look like this...

And with out him you may need Dixon to score that many as Eden is our best attacking option.

Is it just me, or does that make no sense whatsoever?

At best his attack cancels out his mistakes at worst he's a total liability I'd get rid

cracking signing if his knee holds

And you can improve his defence, good signing though.

Rovers see Dixon as a full back in the Sam Tomkins mould with his lightening pace, agility, elusive running and energy. I think this is the best bet.

On the wing he is physically weak and turns his back when defending which is a pet hate of mine.
