Between this and our pre season matches we seem to be a long long way from where we need to be for promotion.

Will be interesting to read the views of Fans that went. It looks like the Supporters Facebook page is now log in so that avenue appears closed for their points of view.

Have to say that if I was a Thornhill fan i would be gutted, it reads like we got out of jail. Full credit and the honours if not the spoils go to the Trojans.

I went & we given a real shock by a committed Thornhill side. They deserved to win.

Discipline poor . handling not good. We missed Beharrell for his kicking game. Won it with a Boas break . I reckon a few players will be looking over their shoulders with some players returning .

One plus note Holdstock & Howe did well.

Thanks Weighman. That sort of attitude from some players simply will not do next week, North Wales put Rochdale Mayfield to the sword today and they will be brimming with confidence.

Thornhill and Rochdale Mayfield play in the same competition so I'm hoping those two results will serve as a wake up call.

Kieran Cross got good minutes in yesterday , played at 6 then 9 when Howe came on . Carter did ok until he went off , injured i think

Jemmo you are probably correct . For the first time for years we have sufficient cover in halves & 9.

I also think Holdstock will be pushing for a place probably in the 2nd row or loose .

Most of the 3rd round games have been cancelled today, lucky we played yesterday. The suggestions are they will be played next weekend and postpone the league games. Again this not should affect us as North Wales also played their cup game yesterday

I couldn't make the game Saturday but by the sound of things it looks like we dodged a bullet.

Fair play to Thornhill , looks like they dominated the middles while our disciple was once again an issue.

That said were in the bag and hopefully a better performance next week.

No 13 for Thornhill was very good , did not hear who won mom .

I know for the amateur teams its like their Wembley and they will be up for the fight, but surely with the side we had out we should have won easier than that .
The bookies had us to win by around 40 points ,so to scrape though with the last roll of the dice is concerning for the coming season.

They were good.

We seemed to get frustrated , with the referee and with the fact we could not impose ourselves on Thornhill .

There was no lack of effort & in the end we won .

I just noticed , A Sweet was the referee, the worst official in the comp by far never gives us anything , the guy is a joke .

Yes i thought he was poor. Having said that one our players had a warning for dissent then got sin binned .

Hopefully Matty and Ragi back for next week and a convincing victory.
