Have to say, our weekend could not have gone better considering the circumstances. Hats off to everyone concerned. The link above speaks for itself.

I'm arguing elsewhere with Batley fans claiming we were not missing anyone (one claims we were only missing smith and no one else), but just look at the above. Our youngsters are going from strength to strength and it's hopefully only a matter of time before the widnii rise again, unstoppable and full of local players making a huge impact on the upper echelons of the game.

The link above also addresses other teams filling their squads with established stars and not even attempting to bring their own players through, good job we're keeping an eye on that as a club and are ready to play that as a trump card when the time comes. Short term gain will hopefully be these teams downfall.

Attacking other clubs in this fashion is unprofessional.

Smacks of desperation on the club's part to be honest - when there's no need given that they're a shoe in. Widnes are making the right noises but hopefully it won't turn into sloppy slurping noises come January 2011.

False, for the following reasons.

1. We've been supporting our youth consistently for years, great backer or not.
2. Barrow have a rich backer and don't do a tap.
3. Our funds isn't the issue. We could apply those funds into buying a better team, we haven't. We're still throwing our support behind youth.

It is pointing out the difference between us and the rest. It’s costing the club a lot of time, money and effort and it is beginning to pay dividends, why in the hell shouldn’t the club crow about it?

Personally, as long as the RFL make the right choice and promote us I don't mind who we replace. Whoever goes it will be full of genuine fans rightfully worried about their clubs future.

The RFL won't "promote" you. They will fast track you via a licence system. P&R was done away with three years ago.
