In the league express mailbag section today one St.Judes fan in particular is particularly annoyed with how their club was treated post match by widnes last week. Apparently they went into the bar after the game expecting to mix with the widnes players and coaches,and to see the man of the match award. No one from widnes playing or coaching staff was present and the fan says "thanks for ruining our cup final." Pretty poor treatment of them if true it has to be said.

To be honest the players never go into the bar area after the game.Probably expected St.judes to go home after the game, so i think they are just moaning over nothing to be honest.The culture has changed at the club and we want disciplined players who want a winning mentality.If the guys are unhappy then they should call the club or email to get a reason.Well i never see the players so i think big deal.

Some people just love to moan about anything. Pathetic attempt to discredit the club. They should go and cry to someone who gives a toss if it's upset them that much.

The players and officials of both teams usually go into the Bridge Suite after the game.

Sounds like the person complaining in League Express was in the Social Club.

I don't think since the days of the late GREAT Tony Chambers has the man of the match been presented to the lowlies in the social bar.
Don't often go in there too often these days but I'm sure this stopped during the Vaughn Dark Ages..

I hope this gets corrected in the next issue as it will make people think Widnes are a stuck up club etc. Sometimes the odd players venture into the social club but it has never been an 'official' thing since I have been going in there!

In amateur rugby league, players, fans and administrators all sit in the social club after the match. Poor sod didn't know what to expect.

There's always some mud being thrown at us week after week in the letters page of the Express, usually wire fans for some reason. We need to do some propaganda of our own.

Really? I can't say i've ever read a letter from a wires fan having a go at widnes in that publication to be honest. Wigan or saints maybe,but given that widnes aren't in SL at the minute I don't see why a wires fan would have a pop at them. To be honest,most wires just don't see widnes as a rival at the moment,although that will obviously change if you get in SL!

I know quite a lot of widnes people. None of them have ever done me any harm,so unlike some from both sides I don't buy into this wire/widnes "hatred" thing. I'm to old to think along those lines!

It's good to have a few other fans knocking about for banter / other views etc.

I'd include L'ill Rich but tbh he is a Widnes fan to all extent and purposes

Believe me, it's happening. I've been close to replying on a good few occasions over the last year or so. The main reason I haven't is on those occasions I've been so annoyed I wouldn't be particularly diplomatic about it.

I wouldnt worry about Judes anyway myself, They are quick to whine but not very gracious themselves when they are donated a big framed FREE OF CHARGE picture of their big day. Apart from the commitee man I handed it to at Simmies game on Saturday Ive yet to hear from the club itself, Isnt that the same as they are whineing about

That's excellent that! Shame they can't be thanful of things that they get for free but moan about things they where never going to get!
