| Friendlies mean fook all and I aint really bothered about results. I always used pre season as a lung burster and to blow off the cobwebs. If we are going to judge teams on Friendlies then watch out for Hunslet - they walloped Wakefield 
I think Widnes will be there or there abouts when the honours are being handed out. I expect an even tougher Comp than last years and anyone could win it ! |

I've been a little worried for a while but friendlies do indeed mean nothing. Plus we didn't have a full team out and Salford did. But we're going to suffer from Cullen's absence and we don't have the strongest squad in the league IMHO.
I'm hoping we're competitive, if we are we should be in the driving seat for a license. If we're not its an excuse to leave us out and the RFL will look for one.

I agree gary.We be in the top 3 at the end of the season.Some players where bad today but i know they can play better.If i was a coach i be looking to improve our kicking game and less penalties and discipline. |

Not a chance will we get Lomax, He is the next big thing trust me. Wellens will be injured more often than not this year and Jonny will be his replacement. More than happy to be proved wrong mind !

If Wellens is fit he will always get picked over Lomax, as Asterix says though if Wellens is out then Lomax will be in. |

Hear what you are saying, but apparantly the woman who got soaked wasn't even involved in the shouting etc. Its a bit out of order going o a match and having a player soak you for nothing. In footie, wasn't Carragher banned the other year for throwing coins or something back into the crowd?
Regarding the dual contract situation, I have heard we are looking at getting more youngsters from Saints. It has been disappointing that we've already got Dean yet he hasn't featured whatsoever, but I suppose as soon as the season starts and teams get their squads settled then the dual contract will come into play. |
