Since Tyrer went off we've lost all shape in defence on that side. We've also lost the advantage up the middle since half the pack went off and Kavanagh, Doran and Thompson came on.

No, he was jugglging the ball. He didn't have hold of it otherwise he wouldnt have dropped it. The ball as in the air half the time. He was tackled without the bloody ball. No try. And you need downward pressure on the ball, so Hobsons wasn't a try either. |

what a crock of hewer is, if that little spat between taylor and doran had resulted in a pen to leigh you can bet that doran would have been in the bin. some of his decisions have been a bit baffling to say the least.

I honestly do not know what to say. We started well and just capitulated. Silly errors, penalty after penalty. Will we ever bloody learn? Kicked off the park tonight. Webster went missing in the second half. No creativity. No desire to win the game, at all. Season is well and truly over now.

Well I thought both sides were very similar and Webster and Smith,in patches, were your most creative.
Second half the handling of both sides was dire.
Your team spirit doesn,t appear to be there but to write the season off after 9 games is daft. Get behind your team thats what they need at the moment.

Video ref gave some shocking decisions that were crucial.
Leigh are a tin-pot little club who rely on braun because they have a lack of skill across the park.
Even though the game was on Sky, they still had a poor crowd and don't deserve Super League.
I told them this much in 2006, the year we were promoted but they didn't listen.
I'm sure Widnes will get a franchise next time round with such a great set up you guys have there.

Your club has set an example which all Championhsip clubs would do well to follow but 5 seasons ago your crowds averaged a lot less than 2000.
I don,t hate any club it,s the game thats important at the end of the day. |

The season is not over because I think Widnes will make the playoffs. However as I stated here:

The last two matches were crucial for Widnes, as they are matches that Fax, Barrow, Featherstone and Toulouse are likely to win. These two losses are likely to prevent Widnes to make the top 4 at the end of the year. Now, the only solution for Widnes to make the top 4 will be to get 1 or 2 wins away against Featherstone, Barrow and Toulouse.
So I would say that my best guess is a 5 slot at the end of the year, with a first playoff match away against Featherstone or Toulouse. Naturally lots of surprise can happen, and Widnes supporters could also get some nice surprises during the season. |
