I know fingerpost is a loyal fan, and has watched widnes since long before some of us were a seed, but you don't have to justify it so often mate. If you look around these boards, you'll see many other clubs have weekly threads on Quins/Celtic attendances where these clubs are lambasted. Do you see such threads on here? There are none. It is clear that Widnes fans are continually miss judged on these boards as bitter and unable to get over the licence decisions, which couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, given the circumstances, no other clubs fans could've behaved better. Only the very few 10 post numptys, and of course you, have bucked that trend. That is why I find it galling that you, a so called Widnes supporter, is helping to propagate this myth on these boards.

Was I being a knob when I defended you those times from people who found you a bit overly aggressive? What about when there was only about three of us from widnes using this site and we had to stick together was I a knob then?

Generally speaking I keep to myself. I might have a good moan from time to time, who doesn't, but I've not been one to blame the normal fans for the decision of those running the game and I don't suck up to people who are nothing more than flavour of the month.

I'm well aware of the atmosphere in TIW, that's why we're on this site. But to hold a few cliquey people as representative of the whole of widnes is, to be frank, utter naivety.

Widnes have been through a lot in recent years. A spectacular fall from grace aided and abetted by the ruling powers and people running the club into the ground and buggering off and yet we still have attendances a lot of clubs are jealous of in this division. I'd say that says a lot more about us than a few message board warriors who managed to get in sufficiently early to boss the forums. We're not known for tearing down posts at wembley or scrapping. The worst atmos at our place in recent times was a bit of intimidation from kids with free tickets. So whats making us worse than others?

NOTHING. You said what you did to make yourself look righteous and above what they "expect" from the normal widnes fan. What people expect from us around here is complete B.S. and we should not rise to it, acknowledge it or ever apologise for peoples incorrect assumptions.
