Genuine question, but why?
I thought the academy colours were going to be blue and gold anyway (the city colours) so that pic is probably nonsense. |

Because we're better than Rovers. Our colour should be the top colour. |

I think that the order of the colours was determined by the result of the last ever Academy derby. Just a little reminder of how things finished with Rovers on top.
I wouldnt expect either Chairman to ever admit to this though.  |

That post was correct that is the badge of the merged academy and the colours are black and red
|
