I wish I was there on Sunday to jump over the fence and shake that guy's hand. For those of us lucky to remember he turned a floundering team, nearly relegated in 1988, into a 1991 Grand Final winning team.
Even in 1989 we made the Final and that's after we had nearly been relegated the year before. He showed how you take over a bang average-poor side and turn them into competitors within months. We finished 4th in that first season.
His win record was Hull F.C. 50 32 0 18 64% !!! What we would give for that in 2 seasons Mr Radford.
His record at Hull FC was bettered only at Bulls in his whole career. He must have fond memories of FC.
Please give him a 'pat on the back' from me as we take a minute to remember our Heroes in the 150th Year.
