you honestly think we were going to win tonite after hearing the teams??? i for one didnt what with the injurys/players out and sum youngsters playing,IMO i think hull did really well in the first half especially against a nearly full wire side.lets not be too quick to put em down. |

and the team we had out today was known by our coaching staff before the kick off.............this means that the coaching staff have to build a game plan around this team that is available
the so called 7............he was brought here by our current coaching staff
the penalties given away..........not a new problem for us, and the coaching staff need to get a grip on this
now do you see where the problem is???? |

that is what i meant, we do daft things at daft times, and the worst thing is it always seems to be the same two or three players doing these daft things. Any coach should notice this and do something about it. |

So we give away penalties and the coach can't influence that.
If emory serves me correctly we recieved the ball from the first kick off. Ganson appearing on TV immediately penalises them for holding don, interferance at PTB. He got his message out straight away.
Agar should have done the same if the dimwits in B&W hadn't got that message. But what happend......................
Does anyone with any influence on the squad have a brain.........?
The game was there to be won. We had a great lead and looked to be crusing to a much needed victory. They had a coach who changed things at HT we also appear to have a coach who also changed things at HT.

Did you watch the game !!!!,better tactics this ,better kicking game we've had won????,we could of played another 80 mins and the score woulkd of been the same,most probally 10 times worse,did you notice our pack got absolutely smashed for 40mins,they were making 60-70 metres every set and on the back of that briers had all the time in the world to kick it were he wanted,it's a good job Monaghan had mare,it could of been embarrasing.On the other hand we struggled to make 30 metres every set,so our kickers were under pressure all the time.
This is the reason why Swainy was more effective than Berrigan,he was behind a pack 100 times better than the one we have got now,the biggest mistake this board has made is letting Carvell go and not replacing him,like with like,Carvell and Morley absolutely ripped a a new for us,or to dream of having two props like that.
Message for Agar,do not allow Thorman to ware the HULL.F.C shirt anymore,he is probally the worst 7 I can remember watching,he offers nothing in attack,he's a defensive liability and his much vaunted kicking game is CRAP.
Hopefully if Raynors fit he can slot back onto the wing,Motu back to full back and Berrigan to scrum half and horney back to stand off,this should give our back division a bit more of a cutting edge,but will not solve tghe glaring problem of our pack been the poorest I can remember for a long time team. |

Did you actaully read what I put,did I say he kicked well???,I just think the reason we lost was because we got smashed upfront,what was the territorial stats for the last 40mins???,the fisrt time I can remember us been in their 20metres in the second half was when Kingy knocked the ball from their players grasp,that was in the 35th min,the kicking game is !!!!!understand,and also didn't you read my thoughts on Thorman???.But the fundemental reason we lost last night was because our pack couldn't compeat,IMO this is our No1 priority,then a Scrum half and then a centre.
P.S. A world class coach.

You're dead right !!! Everyone is screaming for a SH (and rightly so) but until we have a pack that smashes the opoosite pack, a SH will only have a limited effect. We need a top SH and centre but we also need a couple of top go-forward forwards. Morley and Carvell killed us last night in the second half.

Equally for the poor old pack, which I am not going to defend fully. IF we had a kicker (which apparently Thorman is) who could kick the ball to gain us some field postion then the pack wouldn't be put under so much pressure to get us out of our half as often as it was last night.
Wire I might add, had no SH last night. They had a player like us who had a No 7 on his back, but he was equally p poor.

Our pack is pretty good imo and wins the arm wrestle more often than not. Wire have a big pack of internationals so was always going to be tough but we needlessly put ourselves under pressure all the time.
