Is SL getting closer and closer each year ??? even at this stage I think not.
Is the league too big with not enough talent ?
The recession must be playing a massive part now - Salford and Quins wage bill must be about £500,000 lower than ours. Huddersfield being bank rolled by Davy at full salary cap helps.
When will we see a Rovers v Tigers GF? that will be the real test of a salary cap'"
After 5 rounds? Get a grip.

A KR fan criticizing Arrogance of other fans.
=#FF0000Show me one post I have made that has been arrogant in the slightest. I have never said we have the devine right to win / compete in anything. Years of despair have put paid to any ideas of god given rights I may have had even in the halcyon days or RL in Hull.
No poop sherlock, we'll just stick to our over the hill Aussies
=#FF0000What have they got to do with anything, just stating that the league table / form at this point in the year has no bearing on final positions. You seem to think I have an agenda against FC, personally I don't, except for when your playing us I'm not really bothered if you win or lose. Maybe you should read what I actually wrote rather than assuming what was meant and twisting it to meet your own agenda's .'"

| The crux of my post is that surely it is not just coincidence that the newest and least funded clubs already occupy the bottom 7 after 5 rounds , I find the argument that it is early days a bit too easy to put forward.
If the table was upside down then would everybody just be thinking it was too early to say ?

I just find the arrogance of some people a bit astonishing, where does the devine right come from that their is a hierarchy of teams that will be the only ones to challenge for honours come from. Hudds are one of the best teams in this league yet because they don't fit the mould they are being bankrolled. Yet so are Wigan, Wire, Saints etc.. no mention of them..
As Kosh said a lot can change in the league and good gauge of where teams are comes after round 13 when all teams have been played each other once.'" you find it arrogant do you ..When Hull beat Saint on they ground your lot stated it was a poor Saints team You beat them on your ground with a Saints weaken team but it was a great win Talk about pot calling kettle

I don't think you'll find many who aren't saying we beat a very depleated saints team, still better than losing to a depleated saints team tho'. I don't remember many saying your win against saints wasn't a good win. The few idiots maybe who can't see past their own team but not many.

And I was saying that there are only 2 points between 1st and 9th, if it was upside down all the pundits would be saying 'once it dries out the better teams will come to the fore' as they did last year. Each year throws up a surprise package or two and I don't expect this year to be any different. I also expect Leeds to win the GF again and they're only in 5th at the mo'. I'd be surprised if after this next round the top 7 are the same 7 teams as this week.

| The great thing about this league so far is that the phrases "the big top 4" or "the big top 6" are starting to become a memory.
This early on the table shows very very little. We are in the top 6 and lost to Crusaders, KR in the bottom 6 and beat Saints.

Think Hull vs Wigan has is a 50/50 game, not "likely" that we will loose personally.

Yep, I agree. The only factors going their way is a) Home fixture and b) they got beat my a very close margin last week and want to make dividends.

Agree with that. Leeds will pick it up as well. Bradford at home is a game we need to be winning to get in the 8.

| Win our next three (Bradford at home, Salford and Rovers away) and we will be on 14 points and probably 3rd at worst in the table. We may even be 6 points ahead of Leeds. If we can then win one of Warrington at home or Leeds away we will be in a very strong position. All of this is quite possible.

| i really fell that bradford and salford are must wins games for us. considering the fixtures after these we may not pick up much points so think bradford at home and salford away are vital to win to keep us in a strong position no matter what happens in the games after wuds

Bradford will be a tough game, if we do not keep Orford under control he will cause us some damage..

| We need to win the next two against Bradford and Salford, as after that we have a tough easter. If we don't win these next two then we will slip right down the table.

| I can see us winning two out of the next three. The unfortunate thing is I think it will be the next two we win !!
IMO Hull FC very rarely seem to build up much momentum/steam. We always win a few, seem to get a bit too comfortable/over confident and then fall flat on our backsides. This is what I think we will be like after the next two wins and then get shown our own backsides by Rovers (Who IMO will lose the next two !)

Same here, however the results are a bit mixed to what I thought they would be, not complaining though

| Have to laugh at some people on here, at the start of the season would we expect to beat Saints at Saints, NO, would we expect to beat Crusaders at Wrexham, YES, would we expect to beat Wigan at Wigan, NO.
As it stands we lost to Crusaders but picked up a surprise 2 points at Saints, we've won our games at home (which is the basic requirement for any side with aspirations in the league), we lost to the current league leaders, fair enough the manner of the defeat appears a concern, but it really doesn't come as a shock, does it?

| I think how we perform as the pitches dry out will be the key . The building block has to be home form which so far has been good . Also , it looks a lot tighter league this season .
