I really don't think these first few matches say an awful lot about the season ahead. Look at Waky last year, beat both Cas and KR then lost the rest bar the one against you.

That's kind of what I alluded to in my post. You will need to play expansive rugby and it's easier said than done when; a) it's the first game of the season and you are still knocking the rust off, and b) it's a cold February night in Hull.

Most sides in the nrl couldn't keep Pritchard quiet last year. And I doubt many super league sides will either. You may think you keep him quiet but that probably means it's opened up outside of him after the defence as rushed up on him so catch 22

Played expansive against Wigan in the pre season from tackle 2 onwards. Got the ingredients for a great match with big ben, frank the tank, the tank on the flank etc.

Struggle to make metres and get out of our own 20, 30? Have you seen our backline, even without Daniel Vidot it has to be one of the biggest in Super League. Justin Carney, Junior Sa'u, Josh Griffin and Greg Johnson, we certainly wont struggle to get the ball out of our 20/30.

Also forget about Dobson causing you problems, Robert Lui is our biggest danger.

I would say that anything over 11,500/12,000 would be quite amazing really but it has certainly captured the fans imagination!

I'm just hoping for an atmosphere better than the Rovers game. Going to be a few things popping up in the first game by the fans and also by the club. Clarky has been working hard and I'm looking forward to meeting him on Thursday to see what he's been up to behind closed doors. It's about time we got the KC rocking.
